1 horse. Had her when I was 15. Had her for 5 years. Sold her due to other commitments and brought her back one month ago 😃❤️

CaptainMyCaptain · 25/08/2021 08:31

I only clicked this to see how many people said zero horses. I also have no horses.

YesPleaseMary · 25/08/2021 08:32

Well there’s a box of little plastic ones and a sort of dressing up one which has shoulder straps and floppy legs a la Bernie Clifton which the dc like to prance around in and some Lego ones and a playmobil unicorn… does that count?

The part of Romania we have friends in you see 'boy racer' types out with their horse and cart. The flash ones have two horses, with ribbons in their manes. People don't ride horses for leisure, they work them on farms or for transport.

ActonSquirrel · 25/08/2021 08:52

@MotherofPoodles

This was when she was at university here in the UK. Can't remember the uni but the women were talking about them clearly as a status symbol she said. The stable fees that daddy was paying etc. So she said in my country gypsies have horses as they can't afford cars. Grin

Arsebucket · 25/08/2021 09:02

They are all currently holidaying in Fiji with my servants.

Mysa74 · 25/08/2021 09:06

3, 2 that are living their best life in the field full retired and 1 that I'm trying to bring back into work before winter hits and all of my spare time is once again spent cleaning their stables and dreaming of spring.

Baby dressage horses?

Yer we buy/breed horses for dressage.*

How old are they if they're babies?

FluffMagnet · 25/08/2021 10:20

2 ponies - one a retired old pony clubber, and a shetland who is a magnet for trouble. Nothing I can actually ride!

Well they have a tendency to get older sadly. Our youngest at the moment is just over a year and our eldest is 15.
Bluesheep8 · 25/08/2021 11:09

I breed and train baby dressage horses for a job tbf though.

Sorry I read that as though you were training very young horses.
Sounds like an amazing job

ConnectedToSandsview · 25/08/2021 11:12

I have a greyhound who some people think is a miniature horse.

So it depends who you ask. Me? 0 horses. My neighbours children? 1 small horse.

alloalloallo · 25/08/2021 11:12

2

1 retiree who just lummoxes about getting into mischief

1 that is DD’s riding pony

riverpebbles · 25/08/2021 11:13

Zero. I have zero horses.

liveforsummer · 25/08/2021 11:14

@MissDollyMix

DD rides every week and would love a horse, or even a horse share. So far all we have is a cupboard of My Little Pony's.... and unless we win the lottery that's not about to change anytime soon!
We part loan 2 ponies as it's cheaper for us. I couldn't afford 2 dc lessons each week as they are £40 a pop so would be £80. Costs £30 pw for the 2 ponies (and hours of my time 😭)
Chikapu · 25/08/2021 11:42

I'd love a horse
I want to shower it with sugar lumps
And ride it over fences
I'd polish its hooves every single day
And take it to the horse dentist.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 25/08/2021 12:07

1 clothes horse and one toy horse that belongs to DS! I had a huge collection of my little pony when I was wee though!

Anothermountain · 25/08/2021 16:11

One! But someone has lent me a companion for him.

Ahhhh, that's lovely! Smile
elastamum · 25/08/2021 16:16

2 elderly horses enjoying their retirement and I am just about to get another!

NannyOggsward · 25/08/2021 16:20

2 horses and a pony.

About 562 toy horses too. And 20 horse pictures and a gazillion horse themed items.

It’s all about the horses in this house.

EmmaC78 · 25/08/2021 16:27

I have got two - one TB gelding who I ride and a miniature shetland who is his companion. Shetlands actually make terrible companions but he is very cute and I could never bear to sell him.

Mumtoone39 · 25/08/2021 16:38

2, neither serve any useful function beyond the ornamental.
