I'm not much of a cook but I always do the full Christmas dinner, which seems to go down well - though possibly because it gets anyone else out of having to do it....

Something said or done by someone you know well that made you think that maybe you don't know them at all?

My mum. She retired and turned from Lady Thatcher (genuine, not-affectionate nickname at work) into a braless hippy. I’m still recovering from the time In 2015 when I caught her giggling over the podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno.

Have you ever done something which has made you think “who the hell am I?”

Yes, I turned into a crazed, demented person while trying to find prove my ex was cheating. It frightened me how I cunning and underhand I had become on my quest. Lost all sight of what was normal. Horrible.

How many times to pass your driving test?

Once. Six lessons and an extra one not quite the full time before the test. That was the norm years ago. Now they make everyone have 50 plus lessons! Mind you when I started learning there were still horse and carts being used!

Have you ever caused a car crash?

Two attempts but l passed first time on the second! Puzzled? First attempt was curtailed due to a flat tyre.

When's the last time you updated your kitchen?

I’ve never felt the need to. It’s white and clean and the stuff in it works. I might repaint the cupboards next year though.

What does everyone rave about that you think really overrated?

Sloggi knickers. They look like a nappy!

Never thought to! Do you?

How many piercings do you have including unused or healed?

@MydogWillow - I always brush my hair last thing before bed.

I have 3 ear piercings in total, 2 in the lobe on one side and one in the other. I wear a tiny diamond stud in the additional one. I did have a pierced naval; I have tried twice and both times the body rejected it. The wild child in me (child? I’m early 40s!) would love to have just one pierced nipple, but l don’t have the courage.

Do you remove all jewellery before bed?

I dont wear any so thats easy

Are you doing anything exciting this evening?

Probably going home to carry on feeling nauseous from pregnancy/ trying to decide what to eat for hours and then having a cracker because every is off putting...

An astronaut! And once I realised that probably wouldn't happen, an astronomer. I wanted to work at Jodrell Bank.
Can you remember learning to read?

Not really. I read before I started school, but I can remember lots of occasions of sitting with one or other parent with them reading and me chuming in.

Would you like to run the London marathon?

A dinner lady.

Yes. Quite a long time ago now though!

Seriously, that’s not a question! A week of just toast and (thick, salty, drippy…) butter would be heaven on earth.

Do you enjoy camping (in the UK)?

So you could eat toast, morning, noon and night look. And nothing else? Wow. I suppose I would have krave for a week for 5,000. And then end up with diabetes

What's the worst thing you have ever eaten/drank?

I don't know if it’s against the rules to reply, but yes, toast and butter for a week, no problem whatsoever.

Durian (spelling?) fruit in Singapore. Tastes like a combination of vomit and faeces. Trust me, you’d happily eat toast for life thereafter.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Singapore over the years. I’ve never brought myself to eat a Durian. All major airlines in the far east refuse to carry them. They really do smell like the worst yucky public loo on a bad day. I don’t understand how you can disassociate smell from taste.
