marmaladehound · 21/08/2021 23:17

Only as a child age 3, so this is my mums story really as I have no recollection.

Basically my Nan was in hospital and was dying. She passed away late at night, mum was at home with me, dad was at the hospital. My mum at this point had no idea that my Nan had passed away. I woke up at say 10pm crying and screaming nana and was totally inconsolable and reaching my arms out into the room. I was normally a really good sleeper who never woke up. 10 minutes later my dad called home to let mum know that Nan had died. My mum is adamant that nana came to say goodbye. My mum is not remotely superstitious and a very down to earth Aussie! So I do believe her and do believe that kids have a connection that often gets lost.
