Engagement rings

Haven’t had an engagement ring thread for a while.Mine is a diamond solitaire.Afraid I don’t know how to post a photo.

Engagement ring is Victorian.
Wedding ring was my late mother's.

We've been together a long time so didn't get engaged as such. I always wanted a full eternity as a wedding ring so had this made at Hatton Garden. Married last October.

I don’t wear them like this, but you can see them better this way. (They’re filthy, though.) Also in desperate need of hand cream! The one on my engagement finger was my grandmother’s from the 1920’s. I love it so much. It’s a really unique ring. I re-designed my engagement ring when I lost weight and it kept falling off. It was previously a solitaire and one of the bands was my wedding ring. I bought another and had the jeweller make a single ring holding the diamond between them with a bit of extra sparkle down each side to frame it. It has a brace at the back to keep it’s shape. I love it.

Goodness. I've never come onto a nice thread and taken against another poster so violently.

@MrsCatE is either deeply insecure, or just ghastly. Either way, her posts made me feel quite unwell.

Mine desperately needs a clean. I wish I'd gone for yellow gold.

We got married last week Mines a 9ct white gold .25 carat diamond. I did originally have a cluster ring but a diamond fell out after only a year My husband's arty photography lol.

@ZednotZee thanks, though not on our honeymoon, that was taken the next day at our beautiful coast (we stayed in a hotel for 1 night) and DH made me get up at 5am to watch the sunrise

@MrsCatE, your post made me smile.You came across as happy with your ring, which is what this thread is about.

And just to reiterate: I love everyone's rings! (Though I might have a few favourites...) So many different styles and eras on display.

Love mine. Aquamarine in the centre and 2 diamonds. Had the engagement ring 22 years. We choose it together and he was very brave and handed over his credit card without asking the price! Had the shoulder on one side of engagement ring shaved to fit over the wedding band. Half eternity is Aquamarine and diamond which we bought as my joint 40th and 10th wedding anniversary (he got a big watch that he loves). Love love love my rings!
