Haven’t had an engagement ring thread for a while.Mine is a diamond solitaire.Afraid I don’t know how to post a photo.

@TheDogsMother I love this idea! I don't really want him 'asking me to marry him', nor spending a lot of money on just me. I could more see us just agreeing to get married one day. And that is one beautiful ring

I’m divorced so don’t wear mine anymore but I do wear my mum’s on my other hand. My dad bought if for her in the sixties. He died when I was 18 and when she remarried a decade later she gave it to me as a bridesmaid gift. It sat in a drawer for years but now I never take it off. I love it - although my dad died young they were solid ❤️

I appreciate that so much more now.

Here's mine. DH knew I had a thing for antique rings and chose this. I love it so much. Exactly what I would have picked myself

@pussycatlickinglollyices It's got 'arms' holding up the halo at the top and bottom as well as left and right (if that makes sense) so nothing fits underneath, having one made will have to be the way to go I think!

Thanks @overwork. You're right, we decided rather than a proposal so this worked well for us. That said there are some stunning engagement rings on here and I've done myself out of an eternity ring when the time comes 🤣🤣

18ct gold thin wedding band been married 43years, no money for an engagement ring (we were in our teens) so bought as a twenty year anniversary gift, channel set full diamond eternity ring was 40th anniversary gift.
Congratulations to those newly wed or newly engaged all the rings are beautiful.

My husband had mine made at a local jewellers. The same jeweller cut it off my finger the other day after I stupidly did not remove it before becoming too swollen in pregnancy. Devastated!

Mine's a vintage 1.5ct diamond set in rose gold, from the 1950s. My wedding ring is platinum (to match DH's) and I love the contrast of the metals.

Did see notifications and thought posted; MN kept saying I couldn’t post more than 3 pics a day when I tried to post 2!
Anyway, tried to photograph in sunlight to enhance ‘sparkle’ but probably best under halogen light. Bracelet is 1.2 cttw, earrings 0.5 plus ‘halo’ (recent present so haven’t unwrapped hygiene packaging - dithering because can’t see properly!). Ring is pride and joy; Mappin & Webb Princess Cut Solitaire - think 2.4 but need to dig up Certificate plus insurance stuff. Unusually, gold band. My wedding ring in Platinum - but I like the clash/non alignment!

@ChocolateHelps yours is beautiful! Mine was bought at an antique jewellery auction as a Christmas present as we couldn't afford a real ring when we got engaged. Sapphire and two diamonds.
