Haven’t had an engagement ring thread for a while.Mine is a diamond solitaire.Afraid I don’t know how to post a photo.

I wasn’t going to have an engagement ring but then DP’s mum offered me an amethyst ring of hers that her parents had given to her. Amethyst is my birthstone.

Lots of lovely individual rings. I love looking at jewellery.
I went for classic .50 ct solitaire engagement ring, 22ct wide wedding ring, fashionable at the time, classic eternity ring at 20 th anniversary.
I’ve collected several styles of rings over the years, but this trio are my favourites.

Here's mine - 1930s and probably not to everyone's tastes but I knew it was perfect for me as soon as I put it on. Plus it fit perfectly and most antique ones are too small for my massive hands, so it was meant to be!

I love these threads, I always forget to look at peoples engagement rings in real life for some reason.

I love the rings on this thread! So beautiful seeing them and reading people's stories. This is mine ... recently had it reset onto a plain band (it was pavé before but the stones were really bumpy and uncomfortable - much better now).

This is mine. Two princess cut half carats in platinum. Was originally just one, purchased in Australia where we got engaged, but was remodelled for our 10th anniversary and added in a second diamond - one for each DC.

The half eternity was my 5th anniversary present.

I've had mine nearly 27 years. It was a raised solitaire with a shoulder twist on ring of diamonds. We planned to go and chose something for our 25th last week, and the night before the solitaire came out and no idea where it is. The jewellers aren't sure if it can be repaired as claws have worn!

We've been together a long time so didn't get engaged as such. I always wanted a full eternity as a wedding ring so had this made at Hatton Garden. Married last October.

Like a PP I don’t have an engagement one, but needed a wedding band in an emergency (amdram production). £35 from a pawn shop.

They let me keep it afterwards as it it’s tiny and didn’t know if it’d fit anyone else. It was comfier than any I tried on when getting married, so didn’t bother buying a new one.

Love my ring, he chose it, got married a week ago!

My DH made mine one day with gold wire and a green stone. It cost nothing as he found the stone and had the wire on him. He made my wedding ring too, wire and some green beads. I made his wedding ring which was wire as well. We didn’t see the point in spending loads of money on rings so decided to make it personal

Love mine. Aquamarine in the centre and 2 diamonds. Had the engagement ring 22 years. We choose it together and he was very brave and handed over his credit card without asking the price! Had the shoulder on one side of engagement ring shaved to fit over the wedding band. Half eternity is Aquamarine and diamond which we bought as my joint 40th and 10th wedding anniversary (he got a big watch that he loves). Love love love my rings!

The emerald is my engagement ring and the 3 stone diamond and the diamond art deco style are both presents from DH.

I’m divorced so don’t wear mine anymore but I do wear my mum’s on my other hand. My dad bought if for her in the sixties.
He died when I was 18 and when she remarried a decade later she gave it to me as a bridesmaid gift. It sat in a drawer for years but now I never take it off. I love it - although my dad died young they were solid ❤️

I appreciate that so much more now.

Mine is a 2 carat tanzanite in yellow gold.
My eternity ring is tanzanite too, its my birthstone and I love it.

Love everyone’s rings/stacks! It’s nice to see yellow gold seems to be coming back in fashion @altostratus85, and I’ve never seen aquamarines in an eternity band like that @ChocolateHelps - so pretty!

My engagement ring is 0.5 carat D colour, chosen all on his own by DH for a surprise proposal - I used to think I would have picked something less simple if I’d had the choice, but the longer I’ve worn it the more pleased I am it’s so classic. Very thin channel set half eternity wedding band (I like how it tucks under my engagement ring) and 0.5 carat half eternity band, recently acquired as a 10th anniversary present (DH got another new bike 😁). All set in platinum, and I’ve not quite decided yet what order I like to wear them in best.

Currently very pregnant so I think I might have to wear the eternity ring on its own soon - paranoid about getting them stuck after having to have my first two rings cut off once in A&E when I broke my finger (I could never buy a full eternity ring after that episode!)

I don't wear my engagement and wedding rings now because I've lost a lost of weight, they need drastic resizing and the wedding band looks too thick on my finger now.
DH got me a diamond white gold eternity 2 years ago just after our son was born. It's perfect and I think I'll be wearing it on its own now until I can figure out what to do with my others.
