Why are you awake?

I live under a major flight path and I just heard my first plane it what must be months. My goodness it was noisy!

DS6 woke me up crying as he has a sore index finger. He's got paronychia- basically a bit of an infected finger. It's been bathed in warm water and he's had some ibuprofen so I'm hoping I'll get some sleep soon.
Usually I'm awake at this time having auditory migraines so an infected finger makes a nice change but could've done without it.

Just got home. Wide awake but I’ve got a big meeting to present at at 8.30 so that’ll be fun.
I did just buy a good winter coat though. As you do at .30 on an august morning.

@Kalettesarethebest my birthday too (well yesterday 11th) and having cleared up after a bbq with friends I am now contemplating my DDs GCSE results which will arrive early in the morning 🤔

I’m not sure why I’m not asleep. I have a 7 week old baby which might usually explain it but he’s been perfect yesterday and at night but annoyingly I don’t feel tired. I don’t know if it’s because he was so good yesterday that I could do a lot more things I enjoy doing and that’s somehow got my mind more stimulated than normal.

8 months + pregnant went to bed shattered at 7pm now wide awake! Have eaten some cereal and cleaned the kitchen now hoping I get some more sleep in otherwise tmrw will be the same.

My husband announced we're divorcing. 2 precious children that will be away from me forever chunks of our lives. Dreading the finances as I’ve now got MS and can't earn anymore. Yet my life savings will be largely his now. Or 50%. So I’ve worked my arse of and saved and saved, then hit ill and have to give it away to my mostly emotional abuser.

I guess my finances were my safety blanket and I'm really feeling it.

Don’t know. I went to bed early as I could hardly keep my eyes open.

As soon as I went to bed wide awake. Hours later I have a headache but still on here. Just know I am going to be dog tired in the morning.

Think this thread is a que I really should make some effort and try again to get some sleep.

I had a migraine and fell asleep around 7pm. I woke up at midnight with the headache mostly gone. Went downstairs to find DH asleep on the sofa so as not to disturb me, took some paracetamol and came back to bed but I just can't sleep now.

We’ve been out in the country away from lights watching the Perseid meteor shower.. Saw 13 but now thawing out before sleeping.
Reckon we will have sore necks in the morning.

11 month old who was a great sleeper has gone back to waking several times a night.

Sitting next to his cot now as he cries whenever I leave the room.

Woke at 2am after dreaming someone was in the house, couldn't get back to sleep as mind was racing.
DS is staying with grandparents for a couple of days and I'm missing him 💙
Also thinking about how fat/unhealthy I am, about how shit work is/has been for the last 18 months. Do I go back to college, then uni, am I too old/can I be bothered/would it be worth it🙄🙄

I had a dream that we were cleaning the house and DH refused to do any more, leaving me to finish it all. I’ve woken up furious and I’m too pissed off at him to get back to sleep.

The poor fucker is lying here absolutely unaware I keep glaring at him and pushing him off my side of the bed every time he so much as dares to encroach on my 2/3 of the bed. I need some space.

17 yo DD1 woke me up as she was unwell. We came downstairs so as not to disturb anyone else. She's now sleeping with her head on my lap and I'm wide awake!
