@SerenShine they’re called Bob Vylan, not sure they’re very mumsnet 😁 but yes they were great! Been so long since I’ve been to a gig as well

LtDansleg · 12/08/2021 01:31

Chronic insomnia. Waiting for the zopiclone to kick in

gemloving · 12/08/2021 01:32

At Calais about to board the train to go through the tunnel. I saw my family with my baby and toddler for the first time in 9 months. Double vaxxed, so no issues going back.

ShitShop · 12/08/2021 01:32

Sorry for those of you who can’t sleep for sad reasons Flowers

I’m awake as my BF just left. He was supposed to stay but his teenage kids called him at midnight as their mum went out and came back stoned and incapable of being a responsible parent. It’s a regular occurrence sadly so not surprising, but annoying none the less. So I’m wide awake and on my own.

housemdwaswrong · 12/08/2021 01:33

@PoppyDotx

I'm grieving my dad and sleep doesn't come easily unfortunately.
I'm sorry. X

For me, steroids. The devil's tic-tacs.

QueenofLouisiana · 12/08/2021 01:34

GCSE results come out in 7.5 hours. Seems like I’ve kept DS going for so long and now they’re here.
No idea what grades he’ll get, no idea what he’ll do if the grades aren’t good enough.

Mammyloveswine · 12/08/2021 01:34

Discovered "this way up" and now binge watching!! Will regret it in the morning!

I'm very sorry Thanks
Oobly · 12/08/2021 01:36

I've got in to the terrible habit of staying up until 3-4am and sleeping in until 9-10am.

I seem to get so much more done at night though!

Newcoffee · 12/08/2021 01:36

So nice to hear other voices out there.
Me, anxiety - Dh miserable , mum ill, never any savings. Seems like an endless struggle.

Newcoffee · 12/08/2021 01:36

Sorry poppydotx. That’s rough.

madroid · 12/08/2021 01:38

@FlibbertyGiblets have you tried arch supportive insoles? Sorted my pf right out :)

I've had a news of the death of a former colleague which has really got to me today. Life is v sad sometimes.

@PoppyDotx I think the constant battling of grief is exhausting. I hope you get a sense of comfort some way and are able to rest tonight. Flowers

duggeeallday · 12/08/2021 01:38

I'm in hospital waiting to be transferred to a ward after a lovely 12 hour a&e wait. Hopefully get some sleep soon and be discharged in the morning 😒

madroid · 12/08/2021 01:39

@Newcoffee Keep going, it can't last forever. Hope things improve for you soon.

madroid · 12/08/2021 01:40

@duggeeallday ergh you poor thing. Nothing quite so depressing as a&e. Hope you get some rest soon too.

FlibbertyGiblets · 12/08/2021 01:42

@madroid thank you, is there any particular brand you used or are they much the same?

thevelvetcurtain · 12/08/2021 01:53

Posted my own thread about this but I had sleep paralysis for the first time ever and I'm genuinely too scared to go back to sleep!

I used to have night terrors about something falling on me. It was so scary and disorientating.

I hope you manage to get some sleep.

ajus · 12/08/2021 01:55

Insomnia, had it well under control recently but has all gone out the window tonight. Have small kids to look after tomorrow with no support available. It's going to be very hard.

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 12/08/2021 01:56

Dc doing university resit exam in morning. So, so worried about the result and what will happen if she doesn’t pass again. Sad

ShitShop · 12/08/2021 01:57

I just read the sleep paralysis thread - sounds terrifying! Hope you’re able to get back to sleep at some point.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 12/08/2021 01:57

Anxiety, work, money, DD starting senior school. Head is all over the place.

ohidoliketobe · 12/08/2021 01:57

Resettling 13 week DD after a night feed. We were in hospital for 4 days earlier this week after she contracted bronchiolitis, so I'm very grateful to see her feeding and for the snuggles, it was a traumatic few days but she's on the mend now.

So sorry to everyone struggling, especially @PoppyDotx, we lost my grandad 6 weeks back to whom I was incredibly close. There are moments when it hits you like a train and even breathing seems like the most difficult task. Take it an hour at a time, there's no rule book for grief Flowers

thevelvetcurtain · 12/08/2021 01:58

@SerenShine that was exactly what the sleep paralysis was this time around Sad Yup hopefully I manage to get back to sleep soon!
