@Pixxie7

I know this isn’t a court that’s my point also this is about one case not about trafficking of all those poor girls, neither is it about Epstein and his awful crimes.
How is him being accused of having sex with a girl trafficked by his mate the convicted abuser Epstein, not relevant to trafficking or Epstein? Confused
Maireas · 12/08/2021 18:41

No indeed, whereas posters have provided ample links to information and evidence about exploitation and trafficking. Which seem to be ignored.

Maireas · 12/08/2021 18:42

My last post was in agreement with@KidneyBeans

Eh? This case is literally about a minor (at the time) trafficked by Epstein... aka one of his awful crimes. Did you not know that?

longwayoff · 12/08/2021 18:44

This is embarassing. Apologists, it's about consent. A minor cannot, in law, give consent. No matter how willing you may think they look, no matter how many smiles they have. Understandably, adults are expected to be aware of this rule of consent, abide by it and keep their hands off minors. It's not hard to understand.

No one in their right minds would tell such a lie about someone as wealthy, powerful and as famous as Epstein and PA.
This isn't a fib about Joe Bloggs down the pub.
You know this is going to hit the headlines world wide.
Someone is lying and I'd bet my house that it isn't VRG.
If you're innocent, you don't pay out a large amount of money, nor do you kill yourself in jail. No, you would fight to the bitter end to clear your name.
As I said earlier, I hope VRG sues them to hell and back.
They've tried all ways to discredit her, but you know what, she refused to be silenced and stuck to her guns. If she had been telling a huge lie, she would have crumbled under the intense scrutiny and pressure, but she hasn't.
A brave lady who deserves every penny she can get.
I don't understand why people don't educate themselves about grooming and CSE.
Just because it hasn't happened to you or to anyone who you know, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen or that you can't research and attempt to understand it.
Grooming is done by all ages, sex and creed, wealthy or not and affects the same.
If you haven't read the links provided or indeed done your own research then I'd strongly suggest that you do before making ridiculous comments.
I mean, Henry VIII FFS! Next you will be likening it to bloody Orville just because Keith Harris kept shoving his hand up its arse!!!

Maireas · 12/08/2021 19:17

@OhGiveUp - sorry, this thread has been depressing and upsetting, but your Orville comment has just made me laugh out loud!

100% this.
I can't believe people have to keep repeating this.

@longwayoff - well said.

What a depressing spectacle this thread is.

AuntMasha · 12/08/2021 19:26

Thank you @longwayoff, VG is one very brave lady.

OhGiveUp great post.
Orville too!

You obviously can't be arsed to read the thread. They slept together in 3 or 4 different places, not only in UK.

Your post is the worst of victim blaming. I suggest you very carefully read through all the posts before you make even more of an idiot of yourself.

Od130990 · 12/08/2021 19:55

@Roussette didn't realise you had all the facts & evidence in front of you.
All we have at the moment in the case of Virginia/PA is claims from her side. Not victim blaming at all.
At any point in my reply's have I suggested that she isn't telling the truth?
I said it could go against her for previous interviews.
I wasn't there so won't make assumptions of guilt of either party!
That's for the courts to decide...the people who actual have seen any evidence.

TrampolineForMrKite · 12/08/2021 19:57

And it is attitudes like this which mean that I will never report my own sexual abuse. People are fucking awful about this stuff and often women are the worst for it. What exactly should a victim look or sound like? How should they conduct themselves? Is there a fact sheet that gets handed out after you’ve been assaulted, because if there is, I didn’t get mine.

Roussette · 12/08/2021 20:01

Well... you obviously don't!

Not victim blaming? You are saying she could well be a willing participant, shock horror she took him to the bathroom. Yes, she was possibly paid, so were the 14 year olds, that makes what they went through not grooming or coercion or trafficking, does it? Because of the money?

Disneycharacter · 12/08/2021 20:01

I've no doubt she was trafficked and coerced into sexual encounters as she describes, but I can't see how PA could have raped her if she willingly (or at least gave the appearance) had intercourse with him? Unless 17 is below the age of consent and she told him this? If she had been acting as an escort because she was manipulated into it, which I'm sure she was (have watched the long documentary) does that make PA guilty?

What fucks up his argument is total denial when it would be far more believable that he had sex with her. He is clearly lying and his dealings with a sleazeball like Epstein say very little for his morals or character. Will watch it all unfold. ...

Od130990 · 12/08/2021 20:08

@Roussette

This thread isn't about Epstein's other victims which to my knowledge not one other victim of his has made allegations against Prince Andrew, this is only a civil case being brought by Virginia against Andrew.
So please stop twisting my comments.
Not once have I said Virginia or Epstein's other victims don't deserve justice.

Roussette · 12/08/2021 20:11

But you saying about the money and the bathroom leads me to think that you are saying she is the manipulator, not the manipulated.

Od130990 · 12/08/2021 20:18

@Roussette
No I'm meaning technicalities or character references they'll use in court, even in a civil case. Obviously Andrews lawyers will bring up any character flaw or previous interviews/articles Virginia has given.
Virginias lawyers will bring the up the obvious fact that she most certainly was a victim of Epstein & therefore pa must've been aware that she was a trafficked victim.

Roussette · 12/08/2021 20:21

If it gets that far.
I imagine it won't.
It will be an out of court settlement in my opinion. Because how can PA have all this dragged out...

LolaSmiles · 12/08/2021 20:46

Disneycharacter
Child sexual exploitation relies on grooming. Spme of Epstein's victims, such as VR, were children who were deliberately targeted and groomed for sex.

The particularly nasty effects of grooming is that it leads people into saying things to the effect of but they went along with it / they kept going back / nobody forced her to / he might have thought she consented. The nastiness and the horrifying levels of manipulation involved in abuse, including child sexual exploitation, can lead to people viewing the victims as active participants. One thing groomers tend to do is identify vulnerability targets because they are easier to groom, and also because they know that should the victim speak out then the character assassination of the victim will be used to dismiss the victim.

Something similar happened regarding the Rochdale victims too.

threecee · 12/08/2021 21:07

I really hope the people on here assuming Prince Andrew is guilty are never called for jury service, what a lynch mob.

@threecee I really hope posters like you who disgracefully assume the victim is a liar never have a relative that has been raped and comes to you and tells you, you won't believe them. I bet you probably do have some relatives who have been raped or sexually abused but they know you won't believe them. You're a disgrace.
