Have you ever been to New York and if you have, what was it like?

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/08/2021 20:34

(That’s fantastic)

Grim. Years ago, probably different now, but gloomy, roads too narrow with too-tall buildings, brownstones and the like, rudest people I’ve ever encountered and Bloomingdales, Saks and Macy’s were like Woolworths. Impossible to get a dinner reservation after 7.30pm and when I didn’t tip the lavatory attendant in the Twin Towers restaurant, she followed me out to my table to ask. Went just before Christmas. Times Square decorations a big disappointment.

It was alright apart from that! Saw Les Mis on Broadway which was brilliant and best deli sandwiches ever at the New York Deli Grin

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/08/2021 20:38

Forgot my question!

Which season suits you best?

Summernamechange2021 · 16/08/2021 20:48

I love autumn when the evenings start getting dark and I can start lighting the stove again. The roads arent as icy as winter either so its the perfect season for me.
