I was looking at sparkles on the sea today, it just made me so happy.

What makes you feel alive? - it doesn’t matter how small.

That day when there is crispness in the air at the end of summer, and the first smells of autumn appear: spicy and fruitful in the air.

Feeling and hearing snow crunch under your boots.

Woodsmoke.

The blackbird signing outside my window in the morning.

Watching the open fire move from big flames to glowing embers on a cold night.

Rain on the roof. And thunder and lightening when I'm under a big sky.

Mine are a baby curling into you in their sleep, the start of a journey (even the start of a day trip to a crowded beach!), a summer storm, stroking my husbands head, slipping out of the house for a walk on my own with a travel cup of tea, and listening to the birdsong quiet down for the night.

The beach at sunset a cocktail in my hand feeling all relaxed and smelling the sea in my hair.
