There's no hate In this post. Just watched some of their YouTube content this morning as years ago I saw them on TV. Wow their lives look like one big ball of fun. I'm guessing they have made alot of money from going on TV? Hot tubs and holidays and refurbishing a huge home whilst keeping all those kids in clothes. Not to mention they spend a fortune on every occasion.

I remember it was budgets before. Now it seems they have a never ending supply of money. Certainly not having to count the pennies now. .

Somehow they make family life look constantly fun. I only have 2 children and can't offer mine anywhere near What they have.

They seem to have a lovely family and seem nice people. Just amazes me now how social media has allowed people to get rich for contributing nothing of value to society. Not taking away Noel works hard. Again no hate. But it's ridiculous when normal people struggle to make ends meet.

I thought this was about Marcus Rashford…..

I wonder if Millie’s child sees it’s dad, or if he was just a provider of a baby.

Justgettingbye · 10/07/2021 10:08

I don't know the ins and outs of benefits but based on what I get (child benefit), I bet they get it for most of their children because it was only 2017 when they stopped it for the 3rd child onwards

Formaldeheidi · 10/07/2021 10:09

The whole situation of the Radfords is differing types of abuse in plain sight. It’s sad and the longer it goes on, very concerning.

UnChatNoir · 10/07/2021 10:13

@Popxsixcle

Not sure if he's renting it but he showed the large unit and they are now doing that up (more money)

I'd be so uncomfortable showing off like they do.

I also think it's sad Millie hasn't moved out and has stayed home now she's a mother herself. She should surely want some independence to raise her child.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the other girls ended up the same as Millie; it's the only life they've ever known.
Popxsixcle · 10/07/2021 10:21

I don't know how they even have room for Millie and another child. Surely the bedroom situation is already tight.
It goes to show though that they don't want to move out. They stay childlike and don't crave independence like other teenagers.

The whole situation blows my mind.

I am 32 and the energy levels they have shock Me. I really couldn't cope with a day out with so many kids to dress. So many spare outfits, nappies etc. All the food you need for the day out.

She sometimes only has one at home now she has put the toddler in nursery. So she gets a break from a chunk of it in the week.

i wonder if she's ever worked? She's been pregnant for most of her life, and then constantly had newborns, so I can't see when she's even been able to.

Popxsixcle · 10/07/2021 10:29

She's never worked unless she's helped Noel?
They've signed up to ten part series with channel 5 so another TV show is coming up.

@baldafrique

How would they still be on benefits with the money they rake in from TV and media?
That's probably true now. But they would have raked in crazy amounts of tax credit top ups before they started earning the big bucks from social media.
BillyShears · 10/07/2021 10:38

As others have pointed out, if that’s luxury they can keep it. It’s pretty dysfunctional and the YouTube stuff is a bit tawdry.

Cloudninenine · 10/07/2021 10:41

Saying ‘no hate’ doesn’t negate the spite in what you say.

jasminoide · 10/07/2021 10:43

They've only started declaring #ads and #gifts, they've been getting them for a long time. Their family finances (that they have shared publicly) have never added up. The year they went to Disney they claimed to earn £35k. Between the holiday, birthdays, Christmas and food they would have needed closer to £150k. In a way its very disingenuous, a lot of their followers want to be like them and they are trying to give the impression that it is possible to live this lifestyle on one modest salary. Someone asked Sue once how they afforded to go away and Sue said she was good at booking flights separately to keep costs down 🙄.

Groovee · 10/07/2021 10:44

TV companies often pay for thing shown.

Yet the pie company, people wait for ages on the pies.

BlatantlyNameChanged · 10/07/2021 10:49

Do they still lock the children in their rooms at night? I remember one of the early episodes of their TV show where Noel went around removing the outer handles on the bedroom doors to keep them inside during the night. He seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable and was cracking jokes about it. I haven't watched since. They're nothing to be celebrated and there is absolutely no way they are able to meet the needs of so many children.

Feckinlego · 10/07/2021 10:49

I don't think they're aspirational, but it's fascinating seeing how life with so many kids is.

toastantea · 10/07/2021 10:50

You are equating fun with things. Having stuff doesn't make fun. If you watch any of their shows you will see those kids are not living a life of fun.

UnitedRoad · 10/07/2021 10:51

I’m always reading peoples opinions about her being 13 Angry and all the benefits they get, although probably don’t now, but I worry about the children.

My daughters are 20 and 22 now and things have improved enormously, but teenage years were HARD. My eldest was badly bullied from 12 -15 and this is still affecting her now. She doesn’t trust easily, and never gives second chances. The younger one had huge behavioural problems, resulting in CAMHS, social services, school exclusions, self harm and much much more. These are two girls who had an ordinary life in a nice town, with loving parents, enough money, pets, holidays, plenty of attention etc. I can’t believe that teenage years would be plain sailing for all the Radford children, and there’s no way the parents would have time to look out for them all as individuals. Another thing that worries me, is that they show off all their stuff. It’s the sort of thing that could attract the wrong sort of ‘friends’ to the kids, and the parents are so busy they won’t see. I think the children are very vulnerable.

RosesAndHellebores · 10/07/2021 10:52

I'd like to know a bit more about the children's academic achievements and aspirations for the future.

toastantea · 10/07/2021 10:54

@tedsletterofthelaw

Tax credits are limited to two children so I doubt it's that staggering

Only for children born after April 2017

SalsaLove · 10/07/2021 10:54

@TheQueef

It's sad that in 2021 this family is so celebrated. Pregnant at 13 and pregnant ever since. No barefoot so there's the modern slant.
I don’t understand it either. I find it incredibly sad.
30degreesandmeltinghere · 10/07/2021 10:54

I have 11 and Covid has just made me worry even more about them. Her stress levels must be massive. Apart from the age issue I have no disrespect for them. They all seem lovely dc who are lovely to each other on the shows. You can't stage dc behaviour! And the dc appear decent pet owners also!!
No obligation to watch the show or eat a pie!

GreenCrayon · 10/07/2021 10:55

@RosesAndHellebores

I'd like to know a bit more about the children's academic achievements and aspirations for the future.
If they were being totally honest I doubt even their parents could give you that information. They obviously don't value education and I suspect they have not got a clue about their children's academic capabilities or who their friends are or what they enjoy or what they would like to be when they grow up.
AlwaysLatte · 10/07/2021 10:57

No hate in the post but a lot of tutting and curtain twitching. Don't watch it if it annoys you!

gillysSong · 10/07/2021 10:58

I wish them all the best, but I'm not jealous of what other people have.
It's sad in 2021 that society is less judgemental, but the media and gov are so good at telling everyone how to think.
A type of stepford wife mentality, scary really.

Hopdathelf · 10/07/2021 11:00

It’s abusive to the children to have that many. It’s hard enough to give quality time to children when there are three or four. I dread to think what they could be up to without proper supervision. And the way they’ve been commodified is horrific.

It’s going to be an absolute car crash for Sue when she can’t get pregnant anymore.
