There's no hate In this post. Just watched some of their YouTube content this morning as years ago I saw them on TV. Wow their lives look like one big ball of fun. I'm guessing they have made alot of money from going on TV? Hot tubs and holidays and refurbishing a huge home whilst keeping all those kids in clothes. Not to mention they spend a fortune on every occasion.

I remember it was budgets before. Now it seems they have a never ending supply of money. Certainly not having to count the pennies now. .

Somehow they make family life look constantly fun. I only have 2 children and can't offer mine anywhere near What they have.

They seem to have a lovely family and seem nice people. Just amazes me now how social media has allowed people to get rich for contributing nothing of value to society. Not taking away Noel works hard. Again no hate. But it's ridiculous when normal people struggle to make ends meet.

Although having said that, I have a massive amount of sympathy for Sue. It’s not easy becoming a mum when you’re still basically a child, and I think teen mums should be offered a lot more practical, proper support, including counselling to help them come to terms with everything. It’s a loss of a childhood as well.

And a cycle that is being perpetuated as they're pushing this onto their older children who are more or less assuming a parenting role to the younger ones, responsible for feeding, washing, dressing, etc.

Kanaloa · 13/07/2021 00:10

Yes, I understand that. I’m not defending Sue but I do think support at the correct time would have been extremely helpful to her. It is a very hard situation, and all too often the focus is on the child being born and the child giving birth is ignored.

I don't get why anyone wastes their life watching ay influencer, they are all fake Ando my saying what the companies who provide the freebies tell them to say
@jasminoide he's only on #3 so far.
Chris and his girlfriend are expecting their 7th baby between them. They all live under the same roof.

BlatantlyNameChanged · 13/07/2021 07:44

@Kanaloa I was agreeing with you. I think if she'd had that support then the family wouldn't be the way it is now.

jasminoide · 13/07/2021 07:57

Not only do they live under the same roof, but according to social media they have been calling him dad for years.

Kanaloa · 13/07/2021 08:19

Oh, my bad. Yes, maybe if something had been some back then. Just very sad all round really.

MotionActivatedDog · 13/07/2021 09:08

Oh how sad. Now I’ll never know what wisdom was imparted. 🤷‍♀️

sadperson16 · 13/07/2021 09:20

So not having rickets is the bench mark for a supportive family?
If they had had 10 or so kids,it would have been a bit wacky and crazy....their choice...but 22...its unbelievable.

Whinge · 14/07/2021 06:38

I think they escape a lot of the struggles by just opting out.

I think that's a very good way of putting it.

Bowbells7 · 29/11/2021 15:29

They're getting a bashing in the media now for bragging so much about how much 'stuff' they have.
It's all a long way from the days of no sheets on the kids beds and stretching a box of fish fingers between all the kids. I'll never understand how people think they're so great, plus they admitted jyears ago they claimed tax credits so the 'no benefits' brag is a lie.

Iputthetrampintrampoline · 29/11/2021 18:25

It is grotesque the whole shit show, I look at the parents as being ingnorant and rather inept, I do however have massive sypathy for the kids being forced to grow up in the spotlight of which they have no choice over.

MaybeAMoaner · 29/11/2021 18:45

I stopped following them when it turned from an interesting documentary to constant adverts selling shit.
The old line all “influencers” use “lots of you have been asking me where I got this from.
Here’s the link”
Then they earn 20% of every sale.
Or “we just love our BT home hub” bla bla.

Glassofshloer · 29/11/2021 18:53

Why does everyone want the kids to go back to sharing fish fingers and having no sheets on their beds Hmm

garlictwist · 29/11/2021 19:02

I like the Radfords and watch them on YouTube, although I couldn't really explain why (morbid fascination, perhaps?).

The thing that strikes me is the amount of STUFF. They do a vlog for every kid's birthday and show them unwrapping their gifts. There are always so many and I just wonder where on earth it all goes.

I am really not an eco-freak but the level of consumption is eye watering.

Blurp · 29/11/2021 19:25

I find them fairly unpleasant.

I hate the way they exploit their children for money. Those kids don't get to do anything without a camera shoved in their face. Every birthday, holiday and shopping trip goes online for everyone to see. It's a horrendous invasion of privacy and raises serious safety concerns.

The parents don't seem overly interested in the children once they get beyond toddlerhood, and behaviour-wise the house seems like a free for all. The older girls seem to do a lot of the parenting, and in the tv series some of them talked about it being too much responsibility. The parents don't seem to care though - they've had about 5 kids since then.

ChristmasP · 29/11/2021 19:28

@AtillatheHun

Those gifts are taxable - they’re provided as influencer marketing and should be declared as such. How does that come out in the tax credit wash?!
Can’t you have as much in savings as you like with CTC but there’s a limit on UC so those on the old system can have savings
dannydyerismydad · 29/11/2021 20:01

Whenever I hear Sue speak she's talking about the million loads of laundry a day she does. She may have a fancy new washing machine but unless she has a team of housekeepers I see no luxury there.

HandlebarLadyTash · 29/11/2021 20:43

Negative, It's just too many kids, there no way they can get quality parents time, what is the point in having your own kids to not bring them up yourself.
Positive, its good they have found a way to make money and I applaud them for their ingenuity & dedication & finding an audience that would be interested in their life.
