What colour is Wednesday?

So, I'm watching the football am bored and was just musing that yellow is a very Ukraine colour - it just suits it. I have no explanation of why. So then I got thinking about random things that have colours in my head. Wednesday is pale green. Tuesday is pale blue. DH thinks I'm weird and that the days don't have colours. But DD says Wednesday is purple she is wrong
So my question is, why do some people associate colours with random things and other people don't?

I think it is a very low-key sort of synasthesia? So many people have it (i do it for people’s names too, although i never realised until trying to name dd1 - DH “What do you think of Rachel?” Me “Eurh, no, too brown.” DH “…whut?”)

I am terribly easily influenced though - years ago the Radio Times was necessary weekly reading and they colour coded the days. After a while i realised colours for the days had been replaced with theirs and i can no longer remember what my original ones were.

Wednesday is grey - bt grey.

Wednesday is a browny orange.

Ummm no. We wear pink on Wednesdays!

Sparticle thank you for that link. It rings a bell now that you mention it. I don't know if I associate numbers with colour - I can't tell now that I'm trying to think of it on purpose. It's so interesting how brains work.

Before I read any posts apart from the op, I went through the colours of my week -

Monday - red
Tues - blue
Wed - yellow
Thurs - green
Fri - orange
Sat - white
Sun - purple

It's blue and white.
Always was.

The first time ever thinking about it, and it turns out to be green.

Wednesday is cream.

green and yellow clearly although in summer it can be amber. Obvs.

A burnt orange colour for me. Saturday is proper orange.

I always think pink curtains when I think Wednesdsy. Must have been from a book I once had. Strange.

Wednesday is meadows green. Monday is orange, the colour if the fruit. Friday is fuschia. Thursday is Cadbury purple. Sunday is ice blue. People/humans are all grey.

Wednesday bottle green according to dd aged 11, but my 7 year old colour blind ds says its bright green.

So yeah, thanks for adding yet another subject for my dc to argue about. This is going to be a fun evening in our house.
