Random, I know.

Anyone else just fancy the arse off celebrities but from years ago or even before you were born?

I have such a thing for Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears, but only in their early 80's era, specifically in the "Head Over Heels" video which would have been released when I was about two.

Also George Peppard circa 1960's and David Cassidy in the 70's (might have read too many of my mums vintage Jackie annuals in my teens.)

I'm hoping it isn't just me!

Mine is definitely Tom Selleck, specifically in 3 Men and a Baby 🔥🔥🔥 although him in Friends is almost as hot!

CassandraCalled · 04/07/2021 20:21

Early Bond era Sean Connery, a la burying face in chest hair (bird no make nest in bare tree) - surprised I’m almost alone in that! Ditto young Alan Rickman; ooh, the vibrations of that deep rumbly voice - I could put that to good use! 😁

Daisychainsandglitter · 04/07/2021 21:15

Kurt Cobain- I was only 10 when he died but he was gorgeous!

AlCalavicci · 04/07/2021 22:22

@BorderlineHappy, I forget everything except umm well ya know , when I see that shower scene Blush

CatsArePeople · 04/07/2021 22:26

Lee Marvin. I remember discovering him in my teens and then being miffed to find out he died quite a while ago.

Good if surprising to see so much love for Steve McQueen. So fucking hot.

TheWagesOfSin · 04/07/2021 22:31

Lol @BorderlineHappy 🤣

Lindsay Buckingham still looks good for his age I think.

Another one who has aged well is that bloke from The Office who was also in the most recent Line Of Duty. I mean he barely looks older lol.

DoubleTweenQueen · 04/07/2021 22:43

I agree with most of these - particularly:

Clint Eastwood
Cary Grant
Gene Kelly
James Stewart
Steve McQueen
Robert Redford
Paul Newman
David Soul
Al Pacino
Roy Scheider

I will raise you:
Sydney Poitier
George C Scott - bit ‘out there’ I know

Ilovetea33 · 05/07/2021 00:41

Mikhail Baryshnikov

GetInThereLewis · 05/07/2021 01:02

Watched Clash of the Titans yesterday (1981 version) Harry Hamlin was delicious.

Rebeccasmoonnecklace · 05/07/2021 01:13

Gary Oldman as the young Dracula.
Kiefer Sutherland in Flatliners.

elQuintoConyo · 05/07/2021 06:14

No love for Terrance Stamp? Shock he's still beautiful.

@elQuintoConyo You're right! :)

@GetInThereLewis

Watched Clash of the Titans yesterday (1981 version) Harry Hamlin was delicious.
I watched it and thought the same!
UKmumtobe · 05/07/2021 12:39

Gene Kelly

TheSecondMrsAshwell · 05/07/2021 15:04

Captain Christopher Pike in the first Star Trek pilot, Jeffrey Hunter. Ohmawerd, I'd have gone to any planet with him! He was gorgeous, but he didn't want to stay in Star Trek, so I only have the two-parter they made using the pilot's footage to drool over.

He died when I was a month old. That is so unfair.

quirkychick · 05/07/2021 18:35

Ooh yes, Terence Stamp, along with a young Alan Bates and Oliver Reed.
I was a young adult when Gary Oldman was Dracula (but I might have been a bit obsessed Blush) so not really before my time.
Mikhail Baryshnikov and a young Nureyev, too.

SunSeaSurfGin · 05/07/2021 18:38

Rob Lowe
Brandon from Beverly Hills 90210
John Travolta in Grease

I'm a 90s baby so all three were a bit before my time & certainly before boys were on my radar

TapirTastic · 05/07/2021 19:38

I saw The Lotus Eaters on TOTP from 1983 on BBC4 a while back - my word, Peter Coyle the singer is seriously lush. Just gutting that I was only 4!

DerisorySnort · 05/07/2021 22:32

Ha, I watched that video just a couple of weeks ago in a fit of nostalgia @TapirTastic, such a great summer song.
Alas, I'm too old for Peter Could to be "before my time" but he was seriously beautiful.

DerisorySnort · 05/07/2021 22:32

*Coyle!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/07/2021 19:02

If you want 1980s hearthrobs I give you David Sylvian from the group Japan

Once described as The Most Beautiful Man In The World .

Looks better without a load of make-up IMO , tried to find a picture without the Poundshop Lady Diana hair .

I had posters of him on my wall as a teenager
And his voice ......ah , melts you

@Clawdy

Did someone say The Monkees were "knocking forty" when they were on television?! The series ended when they were all in their twenties, although endless repeats were shown.
I used to watch the Monkees when I was a child and I’m not yet 40. It was repeated for years and years after it ended,
Catsmother66 · 06/07/2021 19:54

Yes to Terrence Stamp. Also Allan Clarke, lead singer of the Hollies. Lovely expressive eyes

David Sylvian was very popular among my friends as a teenager, though this was the 80s, so not before my time. Nor the Lotus Eaters, either.
