I have left the curtains in the top bedroom closed to keep the sun off the room Grin

I not only made the plumber a cuppa, but a bacon roll as well. I'll get my coat Blush

snoodle1 · 24/06/2021 19:47

What is the issue with toilet brushes? Are they bad!?

Bessiebigpants · 24/06/2021 19:51

I own a second home in Devon (and rent it to people on holiday)

You're brave posting this :D
MajesticWhine · 24/06/2021 20:00

What's all this about coats hanging in the downstairs loo? I do this and didn't even know it was a sin. Don't tell me, is it something about poo particles?

ShutUpaYourFace · 24/06/2021 20:03

I sat in my car outside school with my engine running and the air con ON COLD. I was having a hot flush - the sun was nowhere to be seen!

TheSunShinesBrighter · 24/06/2021 20:07

I smugly said ‘works for us’ after answering a question earlier.

I hate myself.

RickJames · 24/06/2021 20:07

Drove an SUV
Swore in front of my child (not at my child)
Smoked a few cigarettes
Used a toilet brush

But!! I bought organic vegetables from a farmer! And I made them into a dinner which we ate together at a table!

Ooh, forgot to mention that I unashamedly spent loads of DH's money at the garden centre today but I will make it up to him later! Our DS (17) had his final A level mock exam yesterday so I made him afternoon tea for when he got home, on a cake stand, with little crustless sarnies. And I picked him up from the bus stop so he didn't have to walk the last half mile!! Woke him up this afternoon with a cup of tea and toasted muffins, shop bought!
Garden looks stunning, son and husband are fed and happy!

muddymommy · 24/06/2021 20:17

@JellyNellie

I get along with my FIL and often ring each other for a catch up. I have a step mother and we speak several times a day with "love you" at the end of every call. I'm a stay at home mum and we all live of DH wages. My children don't have a set bed time but are asleep before 8pmmost nights and my youngest 2 normally fall to sleep on the sofa then are taken to bed. They also play in the back garden while I get on with house hold chores. The list goes on 🤣🤣 I also have a loo brush
Perfect. The happiest families are the relaxed ones :)
MyShoelaceIsUndone · 24/06/2021 20:18

I support England in the footie

wellstopdoingitthen · 24/06/2021 20:22

I haven't hoovered today's dog hairs up.

Justsawagecko · 24/06/2021 20:24

What do people use if no loo brush 🤷🏻‍♀️😬

Nicolastuffedone · 24/06/2021 20:32

Nicolastuffedone · 24/06/2021 20:32

I didnt realise this was not approved of? Blush
Who are we meant to support? or is football too common for MN?Grin

BorderlineHappy · 24/06/2021 20:37

I like my Dils.
My kids are still on their computers and they had shop bought pizza for tea.

salsah · 24/06/2021 20:40

I talked about a complicated issue and didn’t provide a DIAGRAM

Kanaloa · 24/06/2021 20:41

Scrubbed my toilet out using the toilet brush
Kids had quavers after school instead of piles of veggie sticks and homemade low fat hummus
Not today, but when hairdressers opened MIL took my two girls for haircuts without my express permission. I was pleased because it saved me doing it and I did not shake with rage at any point. Also MIL frequently pops round for a cup of tea without phoning ahead. If I am at home I answer the door to her even if I didn’t know she was coming.

Itsonlywater · 24/06/2021 20:43

DH has gone out with the lads. I'm pleased he has a social life and I won't be LTB. I won't wait up and don't care when he comes home (the ring doorbell will have the evidence anyway 🤣)

Itsonlywater · 24/06/2021 20:47

What's wrong with loo brushes? How does one get rid of poo smears otherwise?

Kanaloa · 24/06/2021 20:51

Apparently you just scrub the loo with a sponge. I presume you leave a little cleaning basket for guests, or just obliterate anyone who defecates in your home.

MaMelon · 24/06/2021 20:52

Bleach apparently (which doesn’t work).

I bought a fancy silicon one, I feel semi vindicated.

Justsawagecko · 24/06/2021 20:52

@Itsonlywater That’s what I was wondering 🤷🏻‍♀️They’re clearly not the nicest things in the world, but, what else would you use? A cloth 😬

Itsonlywater · 24/06/2021 20:57

Oh so sticking your hand down there with a sponge is more hygienic. Mumsnet jail for me then
