SaraMumsnet · 21/06/2021 06:13

Hi everyone
Welcome to the annual Mumsnet Prime Day thread. This is where we’ll share the best deals we can find over the Prime Day period, and where we encourage you to share your finds too. We know Amazon isn’t for everyone, but if you’re after some bargains then put a watch on the thread and be sure to let us know if you’re after something in particular - we’ll be more than happy to hunt down a deal for you if we can. You do need to be a Prime member to take advantage of the deals, so if you want to sign up, click [[https://amzn.to/2SRHb7w
here]] to get started.

Plus, if you fancy getting deals straight to your inbox, we’ll be sending out a special edition of our Money Saver newsletter llater this morning with a roundup of the best discounts we’ve found. Click here to visit your newsletter preference centre and sign up.

Here's our pick of the best deals we've come across so far - we will post more throughout the day and don't forget that Prime Day carries on tomorrow so we'll be back then too.

Amazon eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi router/extender £97, was £149

eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C £153, was £290 (take a look at this thread about Eufy Robovacs here)

A Mumsnet favourite Grin - Finish All-in-One Max Dishwasher Tablets £11, was £26

Ninja Foodi MAX Health Grill and Air Fryer £150, was £250

Fitbit Versa 2 Health & Fitness Smartwatch with Voice Control £120, was £200

Philips Lumea Prestige IPL Cordless Hair Removal Device £270, was £450

Tommee Tippee Complete Feeding Set £54, was £160

LEGO 60197 City Passenger Train Set £71, was £120

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 12.3? Tablet (Black) £749, was £1169

Here's some information about Prime Day - when it is, what you can expect and also how to cancel Prime so you don’t get tied into an annual subscription if you don’t want one.

This year, Prime Day falls on the 21st and 22nd June - meaning that Prime customers can access exclusive deals - some to rival those seen on Black Friday weekend. Prime plans cost £79 for a year, or £7.99 a month. There's a 30-day free trial (sign up here) if you don’t want to commit to membership but want to take advantage of the great deals.
If you don’t want to pay for Prime after your free trial has ended, you can follow our handy guide on how to cancel Prime.

FYI, if you recommend deals on the thread, we might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful to other users.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Thanks Agatha 😀 should I get the Paper White? Do I need the kindle plug? Or is just the kindle fine x

Zazu44 · 22/06/2021 21:27

With ads or without?

InaccurateDream · 22/06/2021 22:24

I love my paperwhite. You can pay to take ads off at a later point.

anon666 · 22/06/2021 23:05

I ended up getting a lovely rose gold Samsung laptop for £549, reduced from £999. Totally out of my league normally, am v chuffed

Ahhbiscuits · 23/06/2021 07:19

Not sure if already been done, but are there any deals on smart TVs? If that’s the kind that has YouTube Netflix etc on it? (Can you tell I’m not very tech savvy Grin)

AnotherEmma · 23/06/2021 07:20

I'm eating breakfast with the kids while my new Eufy Robovac vacuums the living room. Bliss Smile

Ahhbiscuits · 23/06/2021 08:00

Just realised prime day is finished, d’oh!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I love my new Eufy, Albert. I’m sure the cat will recover from the trauma.
MissCherryCakeyBun · 23/06/2021 16:00

Another person who will have a vacuumed house when I get in from work Grin
Got to give her a name and then train my cats 🐈 to ride

ouchmyfeet · 23/06/2021 17:00

Give it a man's name, not a woman's!

Scaredycatmoo · 23/06/2021 17:50

@ouchmyfeet

Give it a man's name, not a woman's!
Why?

Efficient
Focussed
Effective
Reliable
And absolutely bloody amazing

She’s Evangeline in our home

AnotherEmma · 23/06/2021 20:00

I have been mulling over the sex (gender? Let's not go there Grin) of my Robovac. I think it has to be female, for all the reasons Scaredycatmoo listed. Women are the efficient angels that make the world go round!

Mine is Eva. After the robot in Wall-E (and pronounced Eeeeeeeee-va in wonder).

ouchmyfeet · 23/06/2021 21:44

Mine only has a female voice option, which pisses me off. We call it Robert regardless

ouchmyfeet · 23/06/2021 21:45

I just think women do enough cleaning. It irrationally irritated me that I couldn't make it male

AnotherEmma · 23/06/2021 22:20

I see what you mean about women doing enough cleaning.

I still want to call mine EEEE-va though Grin

SkankingMopoke · 24/06/2021 23:49

My Eufy can have a male voice but it sounds creepy, so we have a male-named robot with a female voice 😏
After Prime Day, we are now a 3 hoover family... Eufy, our ancient corded Miele, and (newest edition) the Shark mentioned at the start of the thread. I can no longer be arsed to mess around with cords on the stairs, and Eufy isn't compatible with the tides of teeny Sylvanian bits DCs sprinkle in their bedrooms and along the landing, so upstairs still has to be done by a person. I gave the Shark its first outing today, and it did really well. A bit heavy, but it collected loads of dust and I love the headlights. It still doesn't beat Eufy though, who is currently my favourite family member (closely followed by DCat) 😍 The Miele will now go into semi-retirement, drafted in only for the big important jobs 😬

AnotherEmma · 25/06/2021 08:39

Ha! We also have a corded Miele and I've decided I need a cordless handheld one for the stairs and the car! Which would take us to 3 vacuum cleaners as well.

Thanks to the Eufy I am genuinely considering sacking the cleaner who isn't very good anyway the Eufy does a better vacuum than she does.
