@carosel2 - I did not think people on the lower VR rate got the bonus for typing over one million characters. I shall have to check as I think I did that once.
Do you ever check whether you still have letters in QC for checking with Tpro before you put in your invoice? I found once that after I had submitted my invoice the number of characters increased slightly, so now if I type any letters with a query in I keep them in my WIP file until the new month as I do not want them to go to QC and not count in invoice data (like now at the weekend with QC staff not working).
With my hospital with Tpro there are two mainly letter layouts - one on headed paper and one without. I find that the character count is often higher on the headed paper layout as it seems to credit for odd things (like if there is a two doctor sign off) whereas there is no credit for typing in GP details or CC details, which are often automatically inserted but not always. All rather odd, whereas for the no headed paper you get credited for everything but it takes longer to type in.
I have one doctor that regularly comes up that I have to type from scratch as the VR cannot understand his American accent (neither can I sometimes) and it is complete gobbledegook. I try and avoid him if I can but his team come up under the consultants name and not individually.
