Took son for first jab. An hour and a half I sat in the car park he said it was a long queue down the promenade, no armed forces guess they all got appointments at the same time too. NHS efficiency is back 🙄🙄

Can we just stop testing people with no symptoms, please?
My city now has the worst rates in country, go us. Local radio has just told us to be careful out thereHmm

Yes this absolutely.
MercyBooth · 02/07/2021 19:52

I received a letter inviting me for my vaccine last week. Id put it through the shredder but im going to keep it. Because i know we will be gaslighted in the future. Im not going to have the vaccine now. Not after seeing the above.

ISaySteadyOn · 02/07/2021 20:09

Don't blame you

justasking111 · 02/07/2021 20:13

Wales is keeping the face masks for the foreseeable future. Education charities are trying hard to ban them from schools to no avail. We had a lovely education minister who has quit politics I can see why now

justasking111 · 02/07/2021 20:27

Fats in the fire now re rugby in Cardiff, bars and eateries will be closed. Food maybe taken but in clear bags, soft drinks may be carried in. Roads around the stadium closed for hours. You can only buy two tickets so no families or clubs. Admission onerous, the good news is that there are lots of tickets left to sell 😄😄

Why on earth do people keep getting themselves tested? Weird.
justasking111 · 03/07/2021 09:16

It's the school kids in Wales that are pushing our figures up. Easy to see in a small nation. Some offices and council employees mandatory testing twice a week. Our testing station one in the whole county is deserted. Figures will drop in school holidays

Pleasenomoreglitter · 03/07/2021 10:21

I've now got one off isolating. Not so bothered about school as lots of her friends also affected, but misses the last sessions of her out of school activities before the summer. They're putting on zoom links, but it's just not the same and she was so enjoying being back to normal activities.
On the testing, we got a letter from school with all the isolation info, then another from the council 'encouraging' us to get pcr tests for the whole family, despite no one having any symptoms. That'll be a no. It doesn't get her out of isolating so I see no benefit to putting us all through that. I know other families are doing it though.

GiveMeNovocain · 03/07/2021 10:28

@justasking111 it's so depressing in Wales. We have a steady 25 in hospital, no deaths for the majority of days, a world record holding vaccine roll out and yet I'm still not allowed a friend outside my bubble over for a coffee without breaking the law. I'm so fed up of it all.

bluetongue · 03/07/2021 10:48

At least being terrified of Covid is a distraction from much bigger horrors. We should all be concerned about nearly 50 degree temperatures in Canada, accelerated warming in the arctic and what the future climate might look like for children when they’re older rather than the tiny chance that our child might get properly sick with Covid.

Did you see the village in Canada burnt out by a fire put covid fear s to shame
CruCru · 04/07/2021 09:10

Hi all! Just checking in

BogRollBOGOF · 04/07/2021 12:34

Had to go to junior parkrun minus the children. Bit weird when they're wanting to go.
Had my first non-BOGOF conversations in 6 days!

DH is WFH so I can do one of my fitness classes tomorrow, saves wiping out two weeks in one fell swoop.

Chatting to the park rangers and they were positive about opening up the closed attractions promptly for the summer. The paddling pool didn't open at all last year; they've been busy painting it ready to fill.

All 3 DC in school today. DD1 started at DS' school.

It is very quiet. It feels odd.

Worldgonecrazy · 05/07/2021 13:45

All good thanks, just a scare.

During lockdown 1 I was in and out of A&E in less than an hour for broken finger. It almost (almost!) felt good to see things back to normal.

110APiccadilly · 05/07/2021 13:55

I got sent to A&E by 111 during lockdown 1 (not sure it was necessary, but once they've told you to go you feel a fool if you don't!) and it was bizarre - the place was like a ghost town. There were literally no other patients there (it is a small hospital, but still).

justasking111 · 05/07/2021 14:01

BOJO speaking today. The Welsh government could speak a week on Wednesday so we're going to be behind England aren't we?

justasking111 · 05/07/2021 14:02

We have around 100 people in hospital covid wise
