After been desperate to watch the gifted and not finding it anywhere cheap, hurrah, Disney plus has it. Loved it...till I found it was cancelled after season 2 Sad

More that gutted me:-
Firefly
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Hex

There’s probably more that I will add but these are off the go of my head

GrinI thought all the CSIs were over, unless you are confusing them with NCISGrin

Redwater, which featured Eastenders Kat and Alfie as main characters but did not allude to Eastenders. It ended on a cliffhanger and I researched to find out that no more programmes would be made, ever. Gutted.

Sorka · 17/05/2021 19:08

So many things on here, especially Flash Forward.

I’ve read all the Shannara books and would’ve liked the show to tell more of the story.

Quite a few BBC sci-fi/fantasy stories that either stopped too soon or were clearly meant to be one-offs but the writers threw a few things in at the end so we didn’t get closure in the hopes they’d get another season - In The Flesh, The Fades and a show called something like The Colony.

Faultymain5 · 17/05/2021 19:09

@ChocChipPancake

The Event - it was about 10 years ago and I'm still not over it. It was cancelled and we didn't even find out about 'the event' and it ended of a cliffhanger
Yes and have you noticed Blair underwood hasn’t aged since 1994 LA Law.
UnitedRoad · 17/05/2021 19:09

@sergeilavrov

I really miss the Bill too.

Loved Holby Blue as well, and have the first series on dvd. I’d love to rewatch the second one.

I think they missed a trick not doing a Holby Kids, set on the children’s ward, a bit of a cross between Tracy Beaker, Grange Hill, and Children’s ward. I know my kids would have enjoyed something like that, and Holby/Casualty fans would probably watch it too.

Faultymain5 · 17/05/2021 19:13

@Sorka The Fades yes and every time I see Daniel kaluaa I’m reminded of fades. Such a good show.

MrsKJones · 17/05/2021 19:14

Body of Proof ( got cancelled and they had to rush the ending)
Scorpion
Perception
Unforgettable

There was another one which centred around a party girl whose mum was a senator or something and she put her in charge of a crime unit. Got cancelled after one season. Had soo much potential.

I'm surprised that Law & order: SVU is still going, 20 seasons or something??

Redannie118 · 17/05/2021 19:17

Constantine the TV series. Only made 1 season and it was bloody amazing.
Survivors- The BBC remake. 2 seasons this time. Totally invested in it. Then the bastard BEEB cancelled it on a cliffhanger at the end of season 2Angry
Crazyhead- a brilliant little British made supernatural series that was a bit like Buffy. Funny and clever with a cracking soundtrack. Its on Netflix now and there was talk of them rebooting it, but nothing yet.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 17/05/2021 19:18

Santa Clarita Diet
GLOW

RJnomore1 · 17/05/2021 19:20

Whitechapel was great.

So were Hannibal and the following and I wanted more but I think they ended at the right place.

Does anyone remember reaper? Such fun then it ended suddenly. It had at least 1/2 more seasons in it.

GalaxyGirl24 · 17/05/2021 19:27

Sense8

Dirk Gently

Yes to Perception, Body of Proof and Unforgettable.

The series you're thinking of was Conviction starring Hayley Atwell and it was great.

Another one I loved was Forever starring Ioan Gruffudd as a pathologist who couldn't be killed. Sounds ludicrous but it was brilliant and finished on a real cliffhanger after one season.

theceilingnerfgunblackdot · 17/05/2021 19:28

Just remembered another one - Banished. Good cast and a great story with lots of scope.

Giggorata · 17/05/2021 19:34

FIREFLY

Angel
The Lost Room
Whitechapel
Spooks
Carnivale
The Fades
Hannibal
Stargate Universe
Enterprise
Utopia

Insertdeadcatsnamehere · 17/05/2021 19:35

@RJnomore1 Reaper was great!

Also gutted about Norsemen.

Holothane · 17/05/2021 19:41

V the remake I love it and was gutted they pulled it after only two series.

Intercity225 · 17/05/2021 19:43

Merlin - we never got to Galahad
Angel
Hill Street Blues
The Bill
The Mentalist
Home Fires Burning

MrsGulDukat · 17/05/2021 19:46

Whitechapel.

I will NOT forgive ITV for that.

RJnomore1 · 17/05/2021 20:02

Oh yes Merlin! Still cross at that.

TurdCrapley · 17/05/2021 20:05

Ooh, I agree with Whitechapel too! It was so good.

I don't think it's been mentioned but Traffic Light was brilliant too. Such a shame.

Hawkins001 · 17/05/2021 20:07

@RJnomore1

Oh yes Merlin! Still cross at that.
Merlin puzzle d me as apparently the actors we offered another season ?
jellybe · 17/05/2021 20:22

@MrsHandles

Home Fires on ITV. Set during the Second World War. The last episode saw a plane crash into one of the houses in the village, it wasn’t revealed who had lived or died. As the credits rolled, the continuity announcer said it was the last ever episode!
I loved this! I was so annoyed that it was cancelled on that cliff hanger
