After been desperate to watch the gifted and not finding it anywhere cheap, hurrah, Disney plus has it. Loved it...till I found it was cancelled after season 2 Sad

More that gutted me:-
Firefly
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Hex

There’s probably more that I will add but these are off the go of my head

Flash forward gave me commitment issues. I never fully enjoyed a series after that incase it just ended abruptly and left me with so Many questions.

I saw up thread it's on Disney+ so I recommended it to my teen. We can share the misery!

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 18/05/2021 21:19

Santa Clarita Diet. It ended on such a cliffhanger, gutted Netflix cancelled it!

theemmadilemma · 18/05/2021 21:54

The last tycoon on amazon, utterly fantastic.

I'm on episode one of Anne of e and I'm already upset they didn't do a season 4

Ruple · 18/05/2021 22:39

Wayward Pines!

JollyAndBright · 18/05/2021 22:47

@Faranth

Stargate Universe Sad
SU seemed to have been to ambitious of a project for them, it struggled a lot. They knew they weren’t going to get another season so specifically ended it with a plan to be able to bring it back.... I think they hoped it would get picked up elsewhere, I think it’s unlikely to happen now.
shivermetimbers77 · 18/05/2021 22:49

Mozart in the Jungle on Amazon Prime: Gael Garcia Bernal as the conductor of a symphony orchestra. Quirky and romantic and NOT finished ! !

I’m so wary of starting to watch anything that isn’t a ‘limited series’ now, in case it gets cancelled before the arc is finished.
I think Netflix/Prime etc should always allow the producers one more season to tie up loose ends.

@DustCentral same!! Read the books and seeing the direction the film was going would've been intresting to see how it ended..2 parts wasn't needed at all.

@RJnomore1 loved Reaper!! And to end on a cliffy..urgh

The Fades
In the Flesh
Pushing Daisies..I liked how it ended but it was such a lovely easy programme. Needed more

Being Human..needed more Alex,Tom and Hal. Again liked the ending but..

Tru Calling..did read how it was going to end.. sounded interesting!

Lizzie523 · 18/05/2021 23:12

Another Eliza Dushku one, Tru Calling. Cancelled just as it was getting going imo.

redfairy · 18/05/2021 23:19

Versailles
Raised by wolves

Anne with an E
Home Fires
Larkrise to Candleford

noblegreenk · 18/05/2021 23:52

Sense8 on Netflix. Dh and I really enjoyed it and were thoroughly gutted they didn't do another series.

Crayfishforyou · 19/05/2021 01:06

GLOW
Flesh and bone
Z the beginning of everything
The thick of it

CrazyCatsAndKittens · 19/05/2021 01:49

Try Calling got really weird because they cancelled it and so they wrapped up the storyline, then they uncancelled it, so they started a new storyline, then they cancelled it again leaving the storyline unfinished.
WhereYouLeftIt · 19/05/2021 03:05

Ultraviolet. Only six episodes long and left on not-quite-a-cliffhanger but definitely setting up for a second series.

All about vampires which are never called vampires but 'Code Fives' , who are tired of their livestock (us) polluting their food-chain with blood-borne diseases, working towards putting a stop to that - "Our free range days are over."

And all the others (yes I do love sci-fi)

Flashforward
Firefly
Dollhouse
Tru Calling

@grantoderek Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes might be coming back as a show called Lazarus. The writers have been teasing it on Twitter for a whileGrin

echt · 21/05/2021 06:33

Has anyone mentioned Firefly?

:o

Seriously wonderful series.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 21/05/2021 08:20

Was Serenity the film that came after Firefly? If so I agree!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 21/05/2021 08:21

Might rewatch Firefly.

Lilyput28 · 21/05/2021 10:05

Utopia - god that was eerie and great!

@RusholmeRuffian

Deadwood
They were meant to address the big town fire in season 4. You could see everything being set up in season three.

Apparently all the actors left season 3 thinking it was renewed and even bought houses assuming they would have a job for another year then, sorry, you’re cancelled.

I hated the reunion movie and wish it had never been made. Even the wigs and makeup were bad Grin

DrunkenUnicorn · 21/05/2021 12:40

A prime series called underground.. it left on a huge cliff hanger!
