After been desperate to watch the gifted and not finding it anywhere cheap, hurrah, Disney plus has it. Loved it...till I found it was cancelled after season 2 Sad

More that gutted me:-
Firefly
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Hex

There’s probably more that I will add but these are off the go of my head

The 3rd series of Colony has just arrived on Netflix. Is that the last one?

Furries · 18/05/2021 10:51

@NiceGerbil

Is that old v or new v?

Old v was brilliant!!!

Definitely old V! I also remember at the time being surprised that the actor who played Willie was also Freddy Krueger. And I thought Diana was very glamorous!

Ringer 😂 sad but true

MolyHolyGuacamole · 18/05/2021 11:03

@SwimBaby

The OA, I can’t get over it!
I absolutely loved the first season but the second season was so horribly wrong that I'm not surprised, I was incredibly disappointed
SwimBaby · 18/05/2021 11:05

Both series were 9/10 for me and the ending of series 2 would have made such a good series 3.

Lunde · 18/05/2021 11:20

Perception
The Glades
Hill Street Blues
New Blood

Ridingthegravytrain · 18/05/2021 11:36

American gods. Didn’t even get a conclusion.

Was gutted about dexter but now we get a new series all these years later. So there’s always hope!

SisterNight · 18/05/2021 12:35

Yes to The Newsroom! It was fantastic. Me and DH were gutted when it didn't have another season.

A pp mentioned Brothers & Sisters, I'm currently rewatching it on Disney+ and it's got such a star studded cast. Totally cheesy but I love it. It definitely had the potential to go on longer than 5 seasons.

wouldukissafrog · 18/05/2021 12:39

@KnitFastDieWarm do you mean firefly lane? I'll be gutted if I'm learning this has been cancelled!!

For me i loved life in pieces and was so sad it got cancelled before a decent conclusion

No Firefly was a western in space or a space opera with Nathan Fillon (Castle). It was really good. Totally disrespected by the networks.

I loved life in pieces and was hoping it would come back.😢

Sunset Beach

Giggorata · 18/05/2021 14:38

@NiceGerbil

Not RTFT.

Farscape. And it was so sudden!

I was in two minds whether to mention this or not, because of the Peacekeeper Wars mini series, which was meant to wrap it up. But I would have preferred the series to carry on...
TeaAndCake · 18/05/2021 19:07

Quacks on BBC. Rory Kinnear and Mathew Baynton.
Loved it. Such a shame it was only one series.

Gertie75 · 18/05/2021 19:10

The Following
The next season of Wentworth will be the last too which I'm gutted about.

grannyjacob · 18/05/2021 19:20

Oz, Rome, Brothers and Sisters, Deadwood, Studio 60, Whitechapel.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/05/2021 19:20

@ChessieFL

Perception starring Will from Will and Grace and The Mysteries of Laura starring Grace from Will and Grace!
Definitely Perception! Never saw the other one 😔
LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/05/2021 19:21

Tru Calling
Messiah
This Life {still want to know what happened after the wedding)

grantoderek · 18/05/2021 19:22

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet

Flash Forward! Yes definitely that was so annoying.

Also, Jericho. That was really good!!

Literally going to say exactly the same! Jericho especially, then they bowed to the pressure and wrapped it up which was so clumsy. The first 2 episodes are some of the most powerful TV I have seen.
grantoderek · 18/05/2021 19:23

I also think the life on mars/ashes to ashes series had one more run left in them. The end was clunky and just too much to take. I still miss it. I need Gene in my life

Lupinspotato · 18/05/2021 19:29

Some already mentioned but:

GLOW
Mindhunter
Utopia on channel 4. Designed for three seasons but cancelled after two. This has been rebooted on Amazon but haven’t seen it.

Charmed and Hannibal but agree they stopped at the right time.

MrsTophamHat · 18/05/2021 19:45

@mrsnietzsche

Glow Sad (again on Netflix) - such a pity, they had even started filming a new series when Covid meant they had to call it off, leading to it being cancelled.
What? They cancelled Glow?! Sad
MrsTophamHat · 18/05/2021 19:48

@Clawdy

The Living And The Dead - supernatural drama series set in an English village , it was so good, and ended on a cliffhanger - then they decided not to commission another series!
I had forgotten about this one too. That was a brilliant show.
JadziaSnax · 18/05/2021 19:53

In The Flesh - BBC3 and Utopia on C4.

TrifleCat · 18/05/2021 20:19

Yes to Tru Calling !

I could have watched more Buffy and Angel but I think they probably finished them at the right time.

I am hoping that American Gods gets picked up for a 4th series - series 2 was a bit up and down for me but I think series 3 was superb television drama, and it was starting to unfold the twists beautifully (won’t say more than that because I’ve read the book and don’t want to post spoilers!)
