Accused of posting on someone's LinkedIn...

I work in a public sector organisation and have been called in by my line manager to say that I have posted something offensive on someone's LinkedIn page and of causing offensive comments on twitter.

I have a LinkedIn account but don't use it much, I do remember following and unfollowing this person a few months ago but no recollection of posting on their page. Is there a way I can check whether I commented without looking at their profile? I know they can see if I have looked at them and I don't want them to make any more allegations about me.

As a union rep, I'm astounded at all of this, but the glacial speed with which this is being allowed to "progress" is astonishing. I expect him to try and unnerve you with a non update before Christmas, just to attempt to ruin your festive period. So just an excuse to look like something's happening. Don't let it faze you. You're doing really well, and I'm horrified, fascinated, and astounded at this whole business. But mostly I'm just sorry this is happening to you.

Had an email this afternoon to say they are getting legal advice on the recordings and hope to conclude [whatever this is] in the new year.

I am glad @AffableApple gave you a heads up.
Surely If they had anything legally they would have moved on it by now?

Don't let them intimidate you re them getting legal advice. You stay strong. They have abused the process for so long, that it's no wonder that you felt that you had lost faith in them and needed to record to protect your own position.

@Twitchynose thank you. I don't feel strong! It's had a dreadful impact on my mental health but I am planning on becoming a union rep after this!! So maybe from adversity, something good will come.

I'm amazed this has dragged on as long as it has. When you have your resolution, I'd sue them for as much as I could get. Bastards!
