I was at Dd's house recently, she opened her freezer and a I could see was lots of little pink mouse tails.
She has a pet snake so they are for him.
I also once sat eating my lunch in Indonesia whilst watching some guys shoving a cow into the back of a bemo (minibus type thing but with no back doors)

Anyone else?

A heard of cows in the busy main road outside my house years ago and the Police Officer (who clearly never been near a cow in his life) trying to shoo the cows out of the road at 3am in the Morning. Weirdly hilarious.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 03/04/2021 12:26

In the height of winter I watched a bare topped man rollerblading along our street dragging 3 small parachutes behind him. It was freezing (he was built like a boxer).

sueelleker · 03/04/2021 12:31

@CirqueDeMorgue

Probably loads but naked people on bikes stands out. I think it was a charity thing though.
Was that in Brighton? They do it every year.
toffeebutterpopcorn · 03/04/2021 12:36

Or London? I came wandering out of Hamleys and was confronted by loads of naked cyclists. It was not a pretty sight.

sueelleker · 03/04/2021 12:39

Not me, but my SIL was a primary school teacher; one very windy day she glanced out of her classroom window and saw a seagull-going backwards!

TeaSoakedDisasterMagnet · 03/04/2021 12:42

@EggscellentEggplant

A pigeon standing at the side of the road at a crossing, lights change, pigeon crosses in front of my car. He literally waited for the little green man.

Another one pigeon in busy train station, walks with purpose, hops onto train, turns round and looks me dead in the eye while the doors close and off he goes on his way.

I hope its the same pigeon.

This sounds like you stumbled into one of those films where a person gets turned into an animal and still goes about their day.
sodoffmenopause · 03/04/2021 12:47

I saw the lion from the lion king show, with his head off having a fag round the back of the theatre.

fluffythedragonslayer · 03/04/2021 12:47

A few years ago I was in London in December and Trafalgar Square was full of hundreds of people all dressed as Father Christmas. My kids thought it was wonderful.

FrankiesKnuckle · 03/04/2021 12:52

Someone walking their very large pig on a suburban street in SW London.
The pig is called pickles.

thenightsky · 03/04/2021 12:56

@GameSetMatch

In Tunisia, whole family’s riding on a moped, Dad driving, Mum behind then children holding on where they can!
They do that in Tanzania! Dad at the front, mum at the back, and all the children in the middle. They call it a 'kebab'.
AndromedaGal · 03/04/2021 12:57

Went to use the phone-booth in a campsite in Italy, but it had an ostrich in it. A real one.

A man dressed as a crow, riding a bike slowly up the hill in my village, at 2am. Scared the shit out of me.

RainBow725 · 03/04/2021 12:59

Another parrot one - man walking down the road with a parrot on his shoulder.

Also another steam engine on the back of a truck - on a motorway - apparently it's cheaper to transport them by road than rail if they need to go a long way.

My all time favourite - two people carrying a coffin along a tube platform in London! I think they were some kind of performance artists. As I recall, it had no lid on it. But it looked very weird at first glance.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 03/04/2021 13:00

A cat unsuccessfully trying to catch a butterfly the other day.

I once saw a Class 47 diesel loco on a lorry on the M1 near Leicester Forest East.

IHaveBrilloHair · 03/04/2021 13:05

They do the moped thing all over Asia too.
Dd is quite horrified that I put her on one when she was a baby.
It seems shocking now.

The water bottle licking has me laughing and baffled in equal measures. Like why?
I have no idea, it was bizarre! He licked the entire thing, inside and outside the cap and up and down the bottle. I remember he had a long waggly tongue Grin
TheDrsDocMartens · 03/04/2021 13:15

Station staff pushing a large cage on wheels with a parrot in off one train and onto another at preston station. It appeared to be unaccompanied.

greenfrogs1 · 03/04/2021 13:16

One of my old teachers in school started eating an unpeeled orange as if it was an apple. Skin and everything.

SkiingIsHeaven · 03/04/2021 13:20

Two zebras in the back of a horse box going down the motorway in Austria.

greenfrogs1 · 03/04/2021 13:23

Oh and another one.
I once saw a man strutting down the street in a very camp way, and he literally had an entire dead fox around his neck like a scarf. Head and everything. It looked ridiculous

Bythemillpond · 03/04/2021 13:33

A car upside down in a tree

Straight road. 40mph limit. Ambulance and police already on the scene. The driver I presume was the woman stood with a policeman gesticulating I presume to show how the car got up in the tree.

I have driven down that road a lot and just can’t figure out how a little hatchback car could take off, turn itself upside down and land in a tree 12ft off the ground.

expectopelargonium · 03/04/2021 13:35

I once saw a bloke riding a unicycle down our high street.

Dancingsmile · 03/04/2021 13:37

Stayed at a budget hotel in Coventry for 3 nights on the last morning came down for breakfast to find every table bar ours in the dinning room taken by Kenyan male vicars in black suits and dog collars with their wives in heavily sequined ball gowns and beautiful, elaborate head gear . We were the only two people sat in the room in jeans and tshirts.
Had a lovely conversation finding out why they were visiting from Kenya but it was a surprise when you first walked in.

Knittingnanny · 03/04/2021 13:38

My cat trying to work out a way to bring in a huge almost dead pigeon through the cat flap. The cat flap had been put in a double thickness wall so had a short tunnel and a flap each end. Eventually she worked out that it would have to be dragged in under her body lengthwise as it was too wide to hold it crossways in her mouth. Took her about 30 minutes, and was a waste of time as it was whipped away from her as soon as she got in the house.
On another note, I observed my mother every day, three or more times a day, wash up the washing up bowl, dry it and put it away in a cupboard. She obviously had too much time on her hands!

Harryo · 03/04/2021 13:40

3 young lads and a moped. On a moped.

I assume the moped being transported had broken down.

Although, this was in Italy, so possibly not that unusual there.....
