Lighthearted, give me your unpopular opinions.

I can start;

The musical Hamilton and Star Wars are over rated.

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 29/03/2021 23:38

Timothy Dalton was an awful James Bond, he looked embarrassed by the jokes instead of going with them. And a dreadfully wooden Rochester, as well as being vastly too good looking for that part.

@SchadenfreudePersonified

“Agree with all - Especially the TWATW - though I would add "TWAM" to that

And

Prawns are the food of the devil

They're just water insects.

Who wants to eat water insects . . . ? ”

They really are aren’t they!!! No different to eating a grasshopper or other insect 🤮.

And absolutely TWAM - I will never understand how an intelligent person could think otherwise. Makes me angry and sad in equal measure

Maggie900 · 30/03/2021 00:46

I think a lot of people leave having children too late.

I automatically stop reading threads if the word ‘narcissist’ or SEN is used. The only time I will read SEN threads is if the topic is about that in itself.

I cannot understand how people can watch soaps.

I am a working mum and have a ‘career’, but absolutely cannot understand why not bringing your children up yourself in favour of childcare (by choice) is setting a good example to children.

I do not not smoke but I don’t mind the smell of cigarette smoke.

Absolutely cannot stand alcohol and the feeling you have from drinking it.

.. I could go on and on. I may be a fun sponge?!

Housewife2010 · 30/03/2021 06:50

"Bingeing on box sets"
"I'm sorry but..."
"It's Marmite"...
They are all horrible expressions that I would never use and cringe when other people use them.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/03/2021 07:04

@AliceMadHatter

Philip Schofield has started to annoy me, I don't want to see his feet or his face anymore.
Started to annoy you ?

That ship sailed years ago in this house!

NotATomato · 30/03/2021 08:02

I hate salted caramel. I hate that everything is salted caramel.

I don’t like coffee.

Most people can’t make a good cup of tea. Meaning, not dishwater.

JMAngel1 · 30/03/2021 08:08

I hate Coldplay.

Next clothes are hideous.

Gin is disgusting.

Baked beans smell like dog food.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 30/03/2021 08:08

Whisky is revolting
BDSM is absolute madness. You're actively seeking someone who gets off on hurting people, stop it!!
People who own cats subconsciously want to be punished (could be a replacement therapy??)

HypocrisyDoubleStandardsMess · 30/03/2021 08:21

If you have unprotected sex in your "fertile days", you can't 'suddenly fall pregnant and surprised'/ 'just found out you're pregnant and freaking out'/'got pregnant accidentally and worried". You should have been expecting it - otherwise, you're either irresponsible or ignorant (or both).

tangerinelollipop · 30/03/2021 08:27

People who own cats subconsciously want to be punished

I had never thought of it that way. Interesting

Firebird83 · 30/03/2021 08:40

Tea, coffee and alcohol are all rank
Sex is overrated
Avocados are horrible
Tattoos look awful
99% of the stuff on Netflix is shite
TV is boring in general
There’s nothing wrong with being a SAHM if that’s what you want to do. Same with changing your name after marriage.

SO many of these posts on here, and obviously you can’t really reply doing ‘well what did you expect for fucks sake?’

I find it hard that grown women, often with existing children, can’t seem to understand the basic facts of life.

NotATomato · 30/03/2021 08:50

So many tattoos are really badly done and a fair few look like a child has just doodled.

MinnieMous3 · 30/03/2021 08:51

Also posts which are along the lines of ‘I’m 42 and after 15 years together me and hubby started ttc number 1, nothing has happened yet and I’m so worried I’ve missed the boat’

Again, you can’t say anything but...

HypocrisyDoubleStandardsMess · 30/03/2021 08:57

Agreed. As they say, "common sense isn't so common".

NotATomato · 30/03/2021 09:05

Or the ‘I’ve been TTC for three months and ready to give up!’. For goodness sake.

MinnieMous3 · 30/03/2021 09:12

Or ‘I have 3 kids from previous relationship, I just started dating someone a few months ago and have just found out I’m unexpectedly pregnant, in a panic’ 🙄🙄🙄

Tinkerbell456 · 30/03/2021 09:14

I will add to the excuses for rudeness such as telling it like it is etc, the phrase “ you’re too sensitive”. Also, “that’s just the way I am”.

the80sweregreat · 30/03/2021 09:17

I call a ' spade a spade' people don't like it when you call them one!
If you can't take it don't dish it out.

tangerinelollipop · 30/03/2021 09:22

If you can't take it don't dish it out

^This (and preferably, 'don't dish it out' - full stop)

SuperintendentHastings · 30/03/2021 09:39

'I'm just a bubbly person, totally keraaazy so you can take me or leave me'.

Is code for 'I'm an annoying prick', so I'll leave you thanks.

tangerinelollipop · 30/03/2021 09:44

so I'll leave you thanks

If said person knows her fertile days. Not everyone is 28 days.

@Faultymain5 but surely if someone doesn't want to get pregnant, they won't have any unprotected sex at all?
