No one NEEDS more than 2 children - one for each parent to handle and still have some energy for themselves.

I'd say 1 child for a single parent but most people don't set out to be single parents so doesn't really matter if they're 2.

It's cruel to have a child, then go on to have more when you're struggling in any way. Unfair to the children and yourself. Children aren't properties or emotional or marriage saviours.

Same with pets.
