How is this not murder?(upsetting)

A mother has appeared in court today charged with the manslaughter of her toddler.

She left her, alone, for 6 days.

How can this not be murder? I don't understand.

I don't know, I suppose SW don't know/ the family hasn't come to their attention. Sometimes they are involved but get misled, I suppose if the mother says they fell down the stairs/ gell off the swing/ fighting with sibling how can the SW disprove it?

Sky news were reporting that Kaylee-Jayde died because her cries were disturbing the 'mother' and boyfriend having sex utterly sickening, wish I hadn't read it.
