You wake up and you're the only one alive. What do you do?

I've just started watching I Think We're Alone Now and this is the premise. I'm only 8 minutes in and we've just seen how our hero spends his time.

I think it's a fascinating idea so I had to pause it to consider what I would do. What would you do?

Ooooooo good premise.

Get a radio. It's always radio that connects survivors.

Pellewsmate · 14/03/2021 15:24

Have a pee without company for the first time in 17 years, I'm usually accompanied by children or dogs.

boredinthouse · 14/03/2021 15:24

A radio is no good if it's literally just you alive!

WisestIsShe · 14/03/2021 15:25

The only human alive? Because if I still have my dog I'll be ok.

MrsTerryPratchett · 14/03/2021 15:31

That's the whole point! To check.

Clothes shops.

Wine merchants.

TheQueef · 14/03/2021 15:33

Reinventinganna · 14/03/2021 15:34

LApprentiSorcier · 14/03/2021 15:36

Shout 'yay!'

frogswimming · 14/03/2021 15:37

As op said. Go to toilet on my own.

en0la · 14/03/2021 15:38

Break into a book shop.

RJnomore1 · 14/03/2021 15:39

Panic. What a horrible thought.

IsolaPribby · 14/03/2021 15:39

I guess I would start burying the bodies?

Dirtymucker · 14/03/2021 15:40

Go for a lovely sleep in silence, then go for a quiet walk with a travel cup full of wine and have a nosey about the neighbourhood.

yumscrumfatbum · 14/03/2021 15:41

This is the story in one of my favourite Twilight Zone episodes. The man in that takes his lunch break in the bank vault, there's a suggestion he prefers the company of a good book to actual people. He emerges as a lone survivor of some great disaster, scenes of devastation. He goes to the library and then to the supermarket which no longer has doors or windows. He makes his way back and drops his glasses smashing them. The story ends here with the knowledge that without his glasses he won't be able to read. As a child this bit annoyed me, surely he can make his way to the Opticians?!

StealthPolarBear · 14/03/2021 15:43

Drink myself to death

ThisIsSimplyBeyond · 14/03/2021 15:44

Are they all dead or have they disappeared?

Either way, I think I'd go back to sleep in the quiet.

RaininSummer · 14/03/2021 15:45

Alcohol and pills probably after some initial wandering around in amazement

burgerjack · 14/03/2021 15:45

I probably wouldn't want to be alive

MrsTerryPratchett · 14/03/2021 15:46

Yes but they don't have his prescription all ready. And back then there weren't reading, asses for sale everywhere.

Sounds like my DBro BTW and he'd be fine.

partyatthepalace · 14/03/2021 15:46

Go back to sleep 😁

JaneJeffer · 14/03/2021 15:48

Make coffee.

DioneTheDiabolist · 14/03/2021 15:50

Nosy around my neighbours' houses of course.Grin

JazzyJelly · 14/03/2021 15:50

Free all the animals in cages so they have a chance.

minou123 · 14/03/2021 15:51

I like things like this.....I think the first thing I'd do is have a look round the neighbours.

I reckon there would be some fascinating stuff
