Crawling back to normality slightly slower than a tortoise taking the scenic route...

My mum had her 2nd Pfizer jab on Wednesday and is alright except for a slightly sore arm. She was more tired than normal yesterday after having gone to the town centre with me and my girls but she was ok. I am hoping that when I have my 2nd jab I don't have as bad a reaction as last time!

justasking111 · 02/04/2021 12:32

Thank you! I get these sent to me but most of them are crochet and I'm not good at that. Knitting tho, I could knit her a hat!
ISaySteadyOn · 02/04/2021 16:57

Any more pictures of her eating lettuce? She's so sweet Smile

BogRollBOGOF · 02/04/2021 18:36

I've not been my best today. Wandered out for a gentle walk in the middle of the day and went all woozy after half a km, plus we were stopped, fighting a pokemon at that point, so hardly exerting myself! Spent the afternoon in bed. Family carried in with their plan to walk with friends, so it's been quiet in the house. Had a nap and am enjoying some good comfort TV of Harry Potter.

The worst seemed to be about 15 hours after the jab. My friend's not felt his best either.

Bog you were stopped?

I'll get some tomorrow, she's just eaten her dinner and has gone to bed to digest it. She's doing well, piling on the weight.

No we had stopped at a bench, but I went woozy even thougn I hadn't moved in about 5 minutes. No one else involved, just me feeling lousy while pokemoning. It's only a 1k walk... I ran 21k/ 13 miles last week!

He's been accused of man flu Grin Probably why he texted to check how I was!

It's the most drained I've felt for a while. Felt like a bad day in early pregnancy. (No immaculate conceptions Wink )
I'm tired this evening but less unusually so, so hoping to be more functional than usual. I'll still take it gently tomorrow.

Other than normal colds, the last time I was properly in-bed ill was about 4 years ago when I had what turned out to be campylobacter.

Outdoors? Last time it was just in the inside places.

BogRollBOGOF · 03/04/2021 08:46

Phew about the zoo, although I wouldn't cover my DCs face indoors as they're still under 11. DS1 has legitimate reasons not to, and I'm not playing about with DS2's asthma either. Plus I need to read what they're saying. It's hard enough to follow at the best of times, let alone mumbling through fabric and being unable to leave it alone... stirs memories of a medical appointment with DS1 last summer...

There are places like Monkey World and Gullivers where they have expected all 3+ to wear the bloody things inside and out.

Feeling a bit brighter today. I won't be trying any running, but I should be fine for a gentle walk.

Lovely tortoise

BogRollBOGOF · 03/04/2021 23:07

She's teeny! Smile

Better day here. Pretty functional and managed to traipse around a park incident free. Good job the benches in the woods were not freshly painted yesterday... Grin

Aww her little face. So cute. So tiny.

Wilberforce42 · 04/04/2021 06:05

Awww she’s lovely! On a more serious note I can’t believe what I woke up to re vaccine passports. I am now seriously worried about where we’re heading with all this and feel completely powerless to do anything about it. I’ve signed the petition to ban them but realistically how effective are petitions?

I agree. I feel like that the government have so many people living in fear that the passport will be a breeze to introduce.

I fully expected to have one for travelling abroad but to go into a pub or other uk venue seems crazy but then the response to this pandemic has been crazy at times.
