Ok, not really an AIBU, but I love these threads and they always get loads of traffic in AIBU!

I am in need of much inspiration and these threads are great for it.

I'm making tomato soup at the moment and DP is going to make a huge tortilla later as we have a glut of eggs to use up!

lifeinlimbo2020 · 01/03/2021 11:04

Pasta with chicken, pesto, peppers mixed while in the pan with a bit of light Philadelphia served with salad (leaves)

mbosnz · 01/03/2021 11:05

Spag bos'. Can't wait! Don't seem to have had it for ages.

lifeinlimbo2020 · 01/03/2021 11:05

Simply cook little kits are half price on Tesco at the mo and they are good for a bit of inspiration. I did the Jambalaya one on Saturday and it was a hit all round, tasty and quick too.

Shetoshe · 01/03/2021 11:07

Salmon, potato, carrots and broccoli here. It's the only healthy dinner both of my children will eat so I almost always cook it once a week.

Following along for inspiration - off to google Jamaican patties!

Nutrigrainygoodness · 01/03/2021 11:07

Dd(11) is just whipping up some batter for toad in the hole for her and DW.
I am going to have chilli salmon and salad.

MrsScarlett007 · 01/03/2021 11:08

Quiche, new potatoes and salad. Quiche already made though so not making from scratch!

TheFuckingDogs · 01/03/2021 11:09

Oat and linseed rolls sound delicious

Ninkanink · 01/03/2021 11:12

It’s a bread mix, so dead easy to make - add water and mix! I just make it into rolls instead of a loaf.

Mine is from Wright’s Baking and I bought it from Morrison’s.

youngestisapsycho · 01/03/2021 11:12

Just put a chilli in the clow cooker... made with beef chunks, not mince.

ParisJeTAime · 01/03/2021 11:13

Oh yes, I keep forgetting to use my slow cooker Blush. Might do something in that this week.

I have three lots of leftovers to use up. Not sure how to parcel them out.

X2 portions of shepherds pie
X2 portions of pork meatballs with spaghetti and tomato sauce
X1 (large) portion of yaki udon.

There are 4 of us. Kids will want the shepherds pie.

TheFuckingDogs · 01/03/2021 11:15

Thanks Ninkanink 😊

Runwithtorches · 01/03/2021 11:15

We had roast chicken yesterday so I have some left over. Going to make up an Asian inspired soup made with chicken stock, spring onions, finely chopped carrots, mini sweetcorn, tiny bit of broccoli and Udon noodles. Very quick but tasty.

MondeoFan · 01/03/2021 11:15

Jacket potato with either tuna Mayo or prawns
Side salad too

MrsScarlett007 · 01/03/2021 11:16

@tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz that sounds wonderful! Do you just put the feta in whole? What temp?

IAmJackieWeaver · 01/03/2021 11:17

Chickpea and beetroot curry with brown rice

Douchebaggette · 01/03/2021 11:17

It's St David's day so whatever it is, it'll involve leeks and welsh cakes for us Grin

ServeTheServants · 01/03/2021 11:17

Chicken paprikash with loads of green veg, and the children will have pasta alongside it.

Turnedouttoes · 01/03/2021 11:19

Pinch of nom Baked Chimichanga

Feel like everything we eat comes from their books at the moment but they make calorie counting so easy and the meals are super tasty

VanGoghsDog · 01/03/2021 11:19

I'm going to do poached salmon and scrambled eggs for lunch, and stir fried chicken for dinner. Pineapple chunks and Greek yoghurt for pudding.

Aprilx · 01/03/2021 11:20

DH is cooking tonight, we have some Asian greens and shiitake mushrooms to use up so he will make some kind of a stir fry with that and chicken.

MirandaMarple · 01/03/2021 11:20

Tuna steak (they're massive!) with mango salsa and potato wedges.

vampirethriller · 01/03/2021 11:21

Pea and ham soup.

SunnySideUp2020 · 01/03/2021 11:22

Spaghetti carbonara
