Frozen pain au chocolat
Sushi

Sparklingbrook · 28/01/2021 19:42

The chocolate and orange Hot Cross Buns are sooo nice. But they do Toffee Hot Cross Buns and they are amazing.

They have the full range of Charlie Bighams ready meals and puddings.

EternalOptimist7 · 28/01/2021 19:43

We don’t have a Waitrose nearby so I rarely go but the wine is great

Wester · 28/01/2021 19:47

Salted Caramel and ginger granola!

MamaBearThius · 28/01/2021 19:53

Their quinoa stir-fry bean pouch thing...it's so so tasty
Essential coleslaw
Hi juice as no sweeteners
Ditto their lemonade

addicted2spaniels · 28/01/2021 19:57

Their own brand pasta is better than anywhere else I've tried
Own brand olives
Cooks ingredients range esp the curry pastes and harrissa
Jackson's bread
Kalettes (like sprouts but Kale)
Essential tinned tomatoes
Brie (somerset one)
Essential frozen french fries (only ones DD3 will eat)
Duchy organic milk

napody · 28/01/2021 20:01

Own brand sriracha

buckleten · 28/01/2021 20:04

Their white chocolate ice cream!

cujo · 28/01/2021 20:06

Fresh pancakes (crepes) - come in a pack of 8 and freeze very well between greaseproof paper

Miss these so much - stupid Ocado

Penville · 28/01/2021 20:10

Raspberries
Cheese boule
Butterscotch and pecan yum yum 😊

AtleastitsnotMonday · 28/01/2021 20:10

Crosta & Mollica breadsticks
Fresh Cocktail beetroot infused with horseradish
Little jar of balsamic vinegar pearls for salads and things.
Fresh beetroot and apple soup
Fresh tomato salsa
Peters yard sour cream and chive bites

Hovverry · 28/01/2021 20:11

Their own bread is very good. When I taste any other brand it’s soooo sweet. Bread isn’t meant to be full of sugar.
Their more expensive coleslaw, cheese sauce, hummus are better than any others.

Prufrocks · 28/01/2021 20:15

Bloody everything.

But seriously the reasons why I am a loyal Waitrose shopper despite it being ridiculously expensive (especially in lockdown) is the following which are in my trolly every week:

Bertinet bakery bread
Chocolate (no1)
Coffee
Medjool dates

Their fruit and veg selection and quality/freshness is unrivalled by any other supermarket.

MiddleClassMother · 28/01/2021 20:15

My weekly shop + anything extra!

Serin · 28/01/2021 20:17

Own brand cordial.
Frozen chunky oven chips.
Lemon tart.
Croissants.
Keycap manis.
Seville oranges.
President butter.
Frozen smoothie mix.
Manchego cheese.

Sandybanana7 · 28/01/2021 20:18

My weekly shop too!

ParkheadParadise · 28/01/2021 20:18

Birthday Cakes
Chamomile Bubble Bath
Dd had a tantrum last time we were there because I wouldn't buy her an artisan sausage roll🤣🤣

RileyG73 · 28/01/2021 20:20

The sauces. Omg the sauces! You like ketchup??.... They have millions. Mayo? BILLIONS!

Prufrocks · 28/01/2021 20:21

They also do a brilliant range of herbal and green teas if you’re into that sort of thing. Dragonfly is a great brand.

Oldraver · 28/01/2021 20:25

Waitrose eclairs are the best

nursejekyll · 28/01/2021 20:28

Love a Waitrose thread, although I hate the experience of shopping in Waitrose and prefer Aldi.
I always buy:
Barts spices
Waitrose basmati rice
Tiger Rolls
Chilli jam from the deli counter
Black bomber cheese
Frozen bread
Excellent wine selection - but crap choice of lager. Crisp selection isn't great either.

teejayem · 28/01/2021 20:30

Waitrose own brand lemonade with real lemon juice in the yellow tins. I was obsessed with it when I was pregnant and still love it now

The black pepper and nutmeg sausages/sausage meat are brilliant.

Japanese golden Curry block - for when you want to make katsu that gives Wagamama a run for it's money

Tinned cassoulet

Fiona cairns fairy cakes

Scottish raspberry ice lollies

No1 lemon tart

The individual seafood 'starters' in shells

Things I wish they'd bring back:

Apricot and almond stuffing
Chocolate brioche loaf
Chicken and Madeira microwave dinner
Chicken pork and apricot pie

CityDweller · 28/01/2021 20:30

We do our weekly shop there (one has to have some pleasures in life these days!). Including
Frozen yoghurt (berry one and chocolate one)
Smoked mozzarella (good on pizza!)
Own brand chocolate
Own brand olive oil

teejayem · 28/01/2021 20:31

Oh yes! It's the only place I can get president butter in a tin that lasts longer than five minutes....

YetAnotherWalk · 28/01/2021 20:38

I like their spinach falafels
