Hi everyone, just wondering what everyone’s plans are for tomorrow and when you plan on getting up with your children?
Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you all have a lovely day despite the circumstances Xmas Smile

We have teenagers so no chance of them waking us up.🤣 Plus I’ve done something “heinous” this year and ordered a catered Christmas dinner from a local gourmet place- picked up the box today. Everything’s in it, just need to heat and serve.

I’m feeling slightly guilty as I’ve always cooked the dinner or helped cook it, but this year, I need a break. This is my Christmas present to myself.😁🎄🎅🏼

Whenever my 3yo wakes so likely between 6-7am.

hiredandsqueak · 24/12/2020 23:00

Around 9am, one of the joys of the youngest being a teenager. I will more than likely have to wake them at 10am.

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 24/12/2020 23:01

DD3 wakes around 8.30 so I will set my alarm for 8, give myself time for a tea.

RoseMartha · 24/12/2020 23:02

Probably abt 7

Miljea · 24/12/2020 23:06

I've told my pair breakfast is 9.30; so they're hungry for Xmas dinner at 1:30.

Admittedly, they're 19 and 21 😂

Sobeyondthehills · 24/12/2020 23:09

Every year I pray for 10pm. Every year for the last 8 I am disappointed.

Not “heinous” but “genius” - enjoy - always find that something I haven’t had to cook myself tastes delicious on principle.

6am so I can put my makeup on and get dressed before the kids wake up, otherwise I'll just not get the chance and end up in my pyjamas all day, which I would be very happy to do if MIL wasn't coming round.

Natsel84 · 24/12/2020 23:15

8 am .. apparently Confused

islockdownoveryet · 24/12/2020 23:16

@foreverandalways

I would give anything to go back 25 years and have the children;young again and the excitement of it all...sooooooooooo quiet in our house atm and not the same sadly....I would love to be woken up at 3am by excited voices and hear the ripping sound of the wrapping paper being torn apart, the laughter, smell of the tinsel and the noise of my mother cooking in the kitchen....love to all x
Me too , mine are teens / early 20s . Honestly you really miss the getting ready for Santa . I'll be awake 7-8am I'll have a coffee and wait luckily my dc still love Christmas so will be up by 9am. Enjoy everyone Xmas Grin

Well considering my 7byear old has been up in the hour every hour so far since 7. 30 asking if it's morning yet I don't think I'm sleeping tonight.

Bastard child.

MrsRogerLima · 24/12/2020 23:24

Currently in the verge of telling him there is no santa and he has everything on his list so GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP

IdblowJonSnow · 24/12/2020 23:26

Hopefully 9 30. Kids still awake so fingers crossed!

WLAH · 24/12/2020 23:28

We have agreed no earlier than 730. Kids 11 and 8

ParkheadParadise · 24/12/2020 23:31

Hopefully, after 7am
I've been upstairs and dd is still awake looking out the window for Santa.

Gertie75 · 24/12/2020 23:32

Last year I woke them up at 5am and by 8am I was so tired due to having hardly any sleep during the night and by lunchtime I felt jet lagged, I didn't enjoy the day once the presents were open so this time I plan to try and stay in bed until 8am

Dd's are 5 and 7 though and ridiculously excited, when we put the carrots out for the reindeer we could see Mars in the sky and they were convinced it was Santa's sleigh as it was red and the clouds blowing past made it look as if it was moving.

My 7 year old has done the exact same thing, he’s still awake now.
Dee1975 · 24/12/2020 23:37

Well Santa has anytime until 7am to arrive. So we can’t get up and go downstairs until at least then ....!

TrySarahTops · 24/12/2020 23:40

I'm jealous at all these teenagers lying in. We have always said no earlier than 7am. So my 17 and 14 year olds are currently having a sleepover and will no doubt be waking me up on the dot at 7am!

IamMariahScarey · 24/12/2020 23:41

Praying my 3 year old DD sleeps till at least 6:30!!

HearMeSnore · 24/12/2020 23:52

Have set DD's gro-clock for 7am. It's possible she might sleep later than that but we'll see...

anomletteandaglassofwine · 24/12/2020 23:54

Remembering all the years when dc were too excited to go to sleep and then up at the crack of dawn! I miss those days but on the other hand it will be nice to have a lie in tomorrow. We've agreed that present opening will begin at 11.

Bellbell1199 · 25/12/2020 00:07

Whenever my 2 year old wakes... Do stocking in bedroom then downstairs for presents .
Usually wakes around 8am!

SimonJT · 25/12/2020 05:06

Hes walking around his room, 🤞🏽he comes and gets in bed with me, I purposely didn’t leave any of our gifts out so if he snuck into the livingroom there wouldn’t be anything exciting:
