Hi everyone, just wondering what everyone’s plans are for tomorrow and when you plan on getting up with your children?
Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you all have a lovely day despite the circumstances Xmas Smile

Alarm set for 5am for work.

PatchworkElmer · 24/12/2020 21:57

Gro clock light comes on at 7:30. I will be amazed if DS lasts that long!

FestiveStuffing · 24/12/2020 21:59

Absolute earliest is half 5. My two year old is incredibly jazzed for Christmas so I've moved the gro clock back a bit in anticipation of an earlier wake but half five is my absolute limit unless the house catches fire.

Sparklingbrook · 24/12/2020 21:59

Midday. The joy of having an 18 and 21 year old. Grin One of them will bring me a coffee and an egg and bacon muffin hopefully. It makes up for all the 5 am starts on Christmas Day when they were little.

InTheLongGrass · 24/12/2020 22:01

Not sure what time the kids will get up, but they arent allowed to disturb us until 7. I usually hear the 11 yr old about 5.30 so I'm guessing before tgen Xmas Sad.

OddestSock · 24/12/2020 22:02

My 9 year old has asked if she can get up at 6am. Shes so excited :)

Millie2013 · 24/12/2020 22:04

Whenever DD wakes up (it was 3.45 this morning). Joy.

Dontlickthetrolley · 24/12/2020 22:04

My 8 and 9 year old are still awake Xmas Confused so hopefully 8 or 9!

JohnMcClane · 24/12/2020 22:05

@foreverandalways

I would give anything to go back 25 years and have the children;young again and the excitement of it all...sooooooooooo quiet in our house atm and not the same sadly....I would love to be woken up at 3am by excited voices and hear the ripping sound of the wrapping paper being torn apart, the laughter, smell of the tinsel and the noise of my mother cooking in the kitchen....love to all x
Have a lovely day ForeverandAways however quiet it may be Flowers
thirstythirsty · 24/12/2020 22:05

2 year old is a very early riser! 5:30 would be good, anything pre 5 which happens we are not going down and have got some activities to do in his room before the chaos starts!

SilentlyLaughing · 24/12/2020 22:06

You’ve just reminded me to turn my 6am work alarm off -thanks Grin

timeforawine · 24/12/2020 22:07

Probably 6ish when my 4yr old decides she's bored of sleep

Miltonglade · 24/12/2020 22:07

2.30am when my toddler wants to come into my bed and have a nappy change and then again at 6am

Christmasfairy2020 · 24/12/2020 22:07

Well kids age 11 and 6 just gonna bed. I'm having wine
Praying no earlier than 8

toomuchfaster · 24/12/2020 22:08

Alarm is set for 7am but maybe earlier if DD is up.

LER83 · 24/12/2020 22:09

My 10 & 8 Yr olds have said they are getting up at 6am, which means youngest will be woken then to. They bring their stockings into our room and open them on the bed, so I don't have to actually get out of bed straight away!

mnahmnah · 24/12/2020 22:09

Oh the DC decide when we get up!!! It was 5.30 this morning. They have strict instructions not to come in to our room or go downstairs until at least 6.00... ha! Wish us luck!!

FatGirlShrinking · 24/12/2020 22:09

DD aged 6 gets up naturally every day somewhere between 4.30 and 5.30am, she wakes us if we're not up by 6am, so 6am at the latest 😂

JohnMcClane · 24/12/2020 22:10

DS is 20 and hasn't been up before midday this week so we'll be up dressed and dinner underway before he's even conscious Grin

I do miss the childish excitement and waking up before dawn, hold those memories close, the years go so quickly.

I was watching Arthur Christmas today and Gwen Hines woke up after 7am, that was the only unrealistic thing about the whole film Grin

DrMadelineXMASwell · 24/12/2020 22:10

I love a lie in after many, many years of being up early with little kids. They are teens now and they sleep really late if left to their own devices. So I'm setting an alarm for 9 and will rmjoy a cuppa and a pastry with DH then I'll turf the kids out at 11.

Livpool · 24/12/2020 22:12

DS is 5 and super excited but he has slept well this week due to being hyper in the day. Anything after 7 will be ok

MrsDThomas · 24/12/2020 22:12

Ill probably be awake at 5/6 as usual. Kids will wake around 10? Ill go for a run once i wake, fresh air before prosecco for breakfast.

SantasBritchesSpelleas · 24/12/2020 22:14

No DC here and I've been working all week so hoping for a bit of a lie-in - not later than 9, though, as I don't want to be rushing my food prep.

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 24/12/2020 22:17

The rule when they were small was not before 7.. No idea what time the teenagers will be up.. maybe 10? Ds just told me to wake him at 10.30 if he isn’t. We’ll see! Xmas Grin

Daisychainsandglitter · 24/12/2020 22:17

I have two very excited 6 and 3 year olds. If they are asleep past 6am I'll be amazed.
