Best veggie sausages

It's for a sausage casserole so I dont want them to fall apart. One friend is vegetarian so if I use veggie sausages I only need to make 1 meal.

I really like the Cauldron sausages and they don’t fall apart.

jemimafuddleduck · 25/11/2020 07:30

Linda McCartney hands down

Breathmiller · 25/11/2020 07:32

Tesco plant kitchen Cumberland Sausages. Closest thing to meat sausages. My meat eating family eat them. They hold together in casseroles really well.

From past experience some give me gut pain and make me fart badly [grin
I think it was the quorn ones. Are those 2 fart free?

Heck meat free are amazing, Richmond veggie ones also pretty good

hels71 · 25/11/2020 07:38

We use cauldron ones in our casseroles. Perfect

Stealthynamechange · 25/11/2020 07:38

Richmonds now make veggie sausages, they hide them with the meat ones, absolutely the best veggie sausages ive tried.

Wellthisismorethanabitgrim · 25/11/2020 07:39

Cauldron by a mile!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 25/11/2020 07:40

Richmond. They are amazing, but hard to find.

Housewoes23 · 25/11/2020 07:41

Another vote for Richmond. Linda McCartney flavour wise but wouldnt think would hold form in a casserole

FourPlatinumRings · 25/11/2020 07:42

We use the Richmond veggie ones and they're probably the best I've tried.

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 25/11/2020 07:42

Richmond Meat Free- taste and hold like the real thing. The best I've ever had!

elsaesmeralda · 25/11/2020 07:42

Linda McCartney are the one for me personally. Don't like the quorn ones

BikeRunSki · 25/11/2020 07:43

Cauldron by a long way
I don’t like the Richmond ones. Too meaty!
Heck are not very good for casseroles.
I’ve never liked Linda Mc’s stuff.

BikeRunSki · 25/11/2020 07:43

Quorn are the farty ones.

Els1e · 25/11/2020 07:57

Another vote for Cauldron

EmmaGrundyForPM · 25/11/2020 07:59

Cauldron are great.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 25/11/2020 08:01

Richmond's meat free ones.

Gwenhines · 25/11/2020 08:01

Richmond vegan sausages. Hands down the most sausage like out of them all.

Frazzled2207 · 25/11/2020 08:03

Where do you find the Cauldron ones?

Not seen them round here. Meatless farm or Linda McCartney here.

OccultGnuAsWell · 25/11/2020 08:09

I'd add a vote for Sainsbury's Shroom Dog sausages. Our local one only has the frozen version but they did do them in the chiller cabinet as well.

Littleroundsponge · 25/11/2020 08:10

Richmond and Naked Glory are a close second!

Iheartmysmart · 25/11/2020 08:10

Richmond vegan ones are favourite here. I cooked some at the weekend in a vegan onion gravy and they were lovely. Didn’t fall apart when cooking either.

Neolara · 25/11/2020 08:12

Richmond.

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 25/11/2020 08:12

I use Tivall meatballs (veggie so not meat). They hold together ok (will crumble is overcooked) and are pretty nice. Otherwise cauldren. I have found vegan ones give me stomach ache and make me feel a bit sicky.
