Honestly, Johnson has only ever been PM in name. Does anybody actually think on seeing him “oh look, there the British PM”? Never has a leader been so lacking in ability and gravitas. Theresa May at least had a sense of purpose - she was trying to achieve something. BJ is just a black hole.

He may not have it he is just isolating and there are situations in lots of peoples work places where it’s not possible to stay 2m apart. If you read the rules it says where possible. If it was easy we would not have thousands a day testing positive would we ?

How is this possible? Isn't the PM is folllowing his own rules and therefore cannot have breached the rules of social distancing. Because if he followed the rules, he would not be identified as a close contact a colleague

@SoupDragon nobody has said he is wrong to SI according to app. We are, however, questioning how this has come about, and reflecting on the interesting timing.

Well if I had been in ICU with it & given the uncertainty about secondary infection ( he must think it is a risk given the travel ban to and from Denmark after the mink mutation) - being in contact with someone who is less than convenient seems a long shot. Unless he is more daft than he makes out.

Anyone else wondering why this meeting had to be held in person rather than online? Surely No.10 has technology available to hold secure online meetings - or if it doesn't, that begs a load of other questions.
