Is anyone else trying to get a Christmas delivery slot?

This is my first year booking a delivery and I think I underestimated the demand - I’ve been in the queue for the best part of an hour

If you are using the app, it might be worth trying the website instead, as I’ve found this is often faster

I've been on both on two different devices since 6.50am.

Well we’ve managed to get one for the 22nd. Clearly something not right with the queue though- DH was queueing on his phone from about 6:40. I was out for a run but thought I might as well queue on the iPad too- started that one off at bang on 7am. iPad got in first- DH’s phone still in the queue!

Nothing in our area after the 20th now- click and collect or delivery 😔

Been queueing an hour.....midnight last year only took half an hour. Just want to get a slot 5 days before for non perishables as I don't trust their subs just before Christmas. Have to go and collect my turkey Christmas Eve at 7am, so will go to Sainsburys afterwards

Asda still had some left this morning where I am (NW England).

iPad screen stayed on fine since 6.55, but I went to the loo and it went on standby! Guess I'm back at the end of the queue

SERIOUSLY?!?!!? I got through after 1hr 20 and went to click on the slot (most of the ones I wanted had gone) it said error and I've gone back to the queue wails

It's bizarre as there is obviously no logic to it as some of you have been waiting ages. I woke up early and thought I'd log in at 6.45am and it went straight to a queue I typically went to the toilet and when I came back into my bedroom at 7.03 I was into the home page. I managed to book for the 23rd which is what I wanted anyway. It was a bit of a nightmare as it kept crashing particularly when trying to check out. I looked again at the slots once I had checked out and all Christmas Eve slots were already gone and now you can't get anything earlier than Monday on Christmas week.

Just got in and got a slot for 23 Dec on the website. Still not in on the app so can't check anything.

I managed to get a slot for the 22nd after queuing for 1hr 20 minutes.

I managed to get through using safari on my laptop whilst my phone and app were still in the queue.

How do I access the delivery slots for Christmas? I can get in the app and I’ve a basket of stuff but can only do the 10th Dec. I’m a pass holder but using app as internet is down.

Still queuing, page crashed and gave me a server error message so I think I’m now back to end of queue

I was in a queue at 06:58 and logged in at 07:07 so not bad really - used the app.

Last year on my group chat I was the first in the queue of my friends (website) and the last one to be let in and all the slots I wanted had gone so I ended up with a click and collect

I’ve generally found over the years that the app is quicker but I’m pleased I got the exact slot I wanted this year.

If you have an active delivery pass they shouldn’t just show on the booking calendar as normal!

I’ve been queuing for over 2 hours now!

@CressidaTheHeathen thanks, thats what thought but I’m not getting the slot choices despite being in a queue initially. I wish my internet was working!

Just got one after over two hours of queuing. 😬. Ok, it’s not waiting in the cold on a pavement; I’ve still managed to get things done round the house but couldn’t they have flexed up in anticipation of increased traffic? Got a flexi slot on the 22nd as the fixed slots 22nd to 24th were all booked.

I got on and got a flexi slot for the 22nd. I wanted the 23rd, but hey ho. It keep crashing though and took ages to take my payment, so I was a bit worried.
While I was waiting, I managed to get an Asda click and collect for the 19th, so that was good!

Recommend trying the website - I put it on as a back-up while waiting for the app and when I came back after breakfast it had opened up.

I got the 22nd but was kicked off in the middle of the shop - luckily I got back in and everything was still there. Phew.

The app stilll wasn't letting me in (I've closed it now)

Finally got through on app at 9.15. All slots gone.

Finally got in. Latest slot was 22nd which I’m ok with as then still have time to sort stuff if lots of subs.

Well, I waited and waited from 7.10 this morning, (didn't think it would be this bad), gave up at 8.29 am and rejoined the queue when home at 9.05 am. I've just booked my slot now with a bottle of good whisky for mon 21st which suits me as the meat and veg come from local farm shops anyway so really it's just a nice version of my usual weekly slot.

Nothing past Monday left for me when I finally got in but that’s okay for us.
