If she was why didnt she stand herself.
Harris did run, she was considered a high profile candidate, but withdrew due to lack of funds. That's why we had about 18 drop out before the primaries even started, and others started dropping like flies soon after. Regardless of how qualified someone is, you need the clout and sponsors to bankroll millions on a campaign, it's really expensive.
That's why we keep getting the same type of candidates.
That's why the smaller parties are at best a dream at this point, even if some of us still prefer what they're selling. The third parties cannot economically or socially compete at this stage when all the business money is tied up in a two party system that keeps tilting more and more authoritarian.
Both aren't the best, both will be heavily reliant on their teams - one's just more likely to get and listen to their team rather than a rotate through yesmen as Trump has done. Someone who will listen to others rather than jump to extremes is easier to work with, negotiate with, fight against because no matter who wins, there are fights still to be had nationally, within the parties, within communities, and globally.
This is just the prelude.
And I wouldn't let my kids towards either of them. As a former pageant child, Trump's actions while owning beauty pageants was notoriously bad & fairly well documented for the time. The idea that people must have swarmed him or whatever means fuck all if that was even true, guys like that do that shit because of the power dynamic imbalance, not because people think they're hot, FFS.
