Just wondering, how many hours do you work in an average week and what is your job?

Civil service. Contracted 37.5 hours but since working from home i have become a master skiver and probably do about half of that Grin

I should show my DH this thread - he's convinced our working hours are average and I don't think they are. I work around 50 hours per week (teacher) DH averages 70 hours a week in a management role.

28 hours a week. I am part time. 8.30-2.30 Monday to Thursday and 9-1 on a Friday. The full time staff work 37 hours a week. We are admin in the private sector. Great work life balance, everyone finishes by 1pm on Friday.

Tech/software dev area with multinational company. Minimum is 50 hours per week, 55 is typical. It's very flexible, salary/benefits good, but long hours are the norm. There is an amount of burn out for sure, but most people in the area like the work.

I used to work in a game dev company, and didn't like the crunch mode/times there where 80+ hours for a few weeks were expected.

Lawyer. Contracted to do 37 hours. End up doing 45-50 on an average week, more when I have a hearing or major deadline. I'm permanently knackered.
