Just wondering, how many hours do you work in an average week and what is your job?

Senior lecturer in post qualification healthcare- supposed to be 36, in reality 45-50 + emails + thinking about a PhD proposal. I'm not sure there's a distinction between work and not work since I've been WFH since April. Love it but at risk of burnout 3 years into the job after 27years NHS overwork as well.....

delilabell · 29/10/2020 08:49

I have 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs:

Full time in a College as a Reprographics Technician for 32 hours a week.

Part time in local shop for 8 hours a week. (Sometimes more)

Part time in a nursery as a cleaner for 10 hours a week.

All of my jobs are within 5 minutes walk of home and I really love them all. Have been working in all jobs for at least 7 years.

Teacher, 50-60 depending on which week of the term it is. Parent's Eves, performances and so on will be around the 60 hour mark, a normal week closer to 50.

Heatherjayne1972 · 29/10/2020 09:25

In none Covid times, around 45 per week as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Over the last 7-8 months I’ve averaged more like 90 hours not including on-call duties. I’ve had two days off since March to be an inpatient in hospital for spinal surgery, day after I returned home I picked my caseload back up and returned to work (from home during my recovery).

givemewaffles · 29/10/2020 09:59

Civil service HR, 37.5 hours but over 4 days

yellowsun · 29/10/2020 10:07

Asdf12345 · 29/10/2020 14:31

MrsJBaptiste · 29/10/2020 14:35

University Administrator.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 29/10/2020 14:39

Physio here.
Pre covid was 0.5wte - 18.75 hours, now 0.8 wte 30 hours and hoping to go up to full time soon. DH has been made redundant and is doing next to nothing to find any kind of employment so needs must.
