He's on R4 this morning, Saturday Live, talking about coming out and of course his new book. I think this is tasteless - he talks about the upset and trauma/impact on his family, yet he has the cheek to write a book about it and plug it on national radio! Not that he is short of a bob or two, with his TV shows and We buy any car.com (that offers as little as it can get away with for your car). It seems that little will get in the way of him exploiting any opportunity to gain publicity and make money - that is the view I have of him.

All celebrities write books

Er - no. Celebrities might have their names on the covers, but it's more than likely that the contents have been ghostwritten.

@Whattheducks

I'll bet that he won't be including his relationship with the young Matthew McGreevy in his book.

You know, the young aspiring presenter who Philip started following on Twitter when he was 13 years old. The one who attended the acting school that Phil was a patron of.

The same young man he was filmed cosying up to for dinner and drinks before he came out.

I watched the film "Bombshell" recently, about the systematic sexual harassment of women at Fox News.

I would love to know the extent of this (male and female victims) inside Schofield's show and ITV at large.

As an aside, just look at this nauseating garbage. 🤮

@Chicchicchicchiclana

Absolutely nowt to do with him being gay.

Everything to do with him being all about himself. The man is a balloon.

Smooth, slick and slippery. And deflated with the threat of a prick...

He was on radio 2 yesterday or the day before plugging his new book.

We don't thank goodness have to purchase books we don't want and I happily swiped to radio smooth so I didn't have to listen to him

Every celeb and their friend has a book out at the moment. Not the type of book I'd choose to buy.

If you don't like him, don't watch him/listen to him/read his book.

He's given air time because (presumably) he pulls in the viewers. If you're watching him, you're part of the problem, even if you're watching and disliking him.

I had to switch over and listen to Gary Numan on 6 music instead. Much better.

Defund the bbc.
Flush out these old celebs, make way for new talent and reduce the sexual abuse.

I’d have had more respect for him if he’d admitted he’d had relationships with men and his wife knew for years than do that confession that he’s just told her. I don’t believe she’s only just found out.

Lots of women don't realise their fella cheats. It's a lot easier to hide when you've got tons of money and have to work away from home a lot. Showbiz is gossipy enough that a rumour might be dismissed as typical nonsense just because he's not butch bloke.

I don't give a shit that he's gay but what little of his work I've seen has been repellent- falsely accusing those MPs of being pedophiles a few years ago (mostly just because they were gay) and dragging various mentally ill people on for exploitative 'interviews'.

I don't really understand why society seems so much more forgiving of a serial cheat who is sleeping with young people where there is a huge power imbalance just because the victims are the opposite sex to his wife.

Holly, Wink I’m not watching him.

Who is to say that the airtime is due to him being a viewer puller?

It could equally be that he knows where the bodies are buried, could dish major dirt or is adept at a totally different kind of pulling tugging altogether ...

Cannot stand him.
Completely calculated timing coming out imo it coincided with a number of negative stories in the press over his treatment towards others eg Amanda Holden and fern cotton. They he was getting positive news coverage for his bravery in coming out never mind the numerous stories of him grooming very young men on this morning one which he’d known since the boy was 15 I read somewhere.
Lots more dirt to come in led to believe.

Not only did he have a relationship with that young runner, he also Snapchat’s random young men in the middle of the night. This has never made the press, but the photos have been put on Twitter. He’s also a barely functioning alcoholic.

It’s taken me ages to even find this. Google is just full of articles in which Fern denies the pay gap was the reason why she left. It does state on Google that other links have been removed due to EU laws so make of that what you will.
What annoyed me with this was that Fern was very well liked and admired. I also believe she had been there longer than him.

He's a slimy creep, such a shame for his children, who'd want to be associated with that excuse for a human.
Why isn't he being prosecuted for grooming and under age boys?

I got the measure of him years ago. I remember Fern Britten pulling him up on his bragging about flying to New York for one night to see a Cirque de Soleil(?) performance. Her face said it all. She kept him in his place.
