He's on R4 this morning, Saturday Live, talking about coming out and of course his new book. I think this is tasteless - he talks about the upset and trauma/impact on his family, yet he has the cheek to write a book about it and plug it on national radio! Not that he is short of a bob or two, with his TV shows and We buy any car.com (that offers as little as it can get away with for your car). It seems that little will get in the way of him exploiting any opportunity to gain publicity and make money - that is the view I have of him.

he is getting progressively aggressive and quite nasty on this morning.
he has no impartiality on covid and his speak is frankly dangerous.
he is getting more and more cocky but in a mean spirited way that make me uncomfortable. and has started taking the piss out of people.

I’m sure his wife already knew. That spitting image video from years ago was pretty clear what the intent was!

I say cringing at him ‘coming out’ on the morning and I felt really sorry for his wife.I’ve not been able to watch him since. Tbh I wish both him and holly would feck off and leave Ruth and Eamon to it.

So many people are negative about him, that I wonder how he still commands the fee he does for the TV programmes and adverts. Maybe we should switch off when he’s on and the powers that be might get the message.

I’m not a fan of the morning programme, but I think it would be a better one with different and genuine presenters. The trouble with all of them is that they become so famous and then their ego becomes inflated. Then they get shot down.

I’d prefer to ignore people like that and I won’t be reading the book. It’s all so cynical. People will though, I’m sure.

I've never been able to stand him. It's got nothing to do with him coming out. He's always come across as sarcastic and snidey. He clearly things a lot of himself. I think it's yet another example of men and women being treated differently. Can you imagine a female celebrity getting praised for this?

Or for example the way Caroline flack wa treated (I didn't know who she was or about this until after her death) yet Johnny Depp and casey affleck who both have sexual/violence allogations against them continue to have successful careers. Where as one incident ended her career.

My point is he's behaving like this because he can due to societie's double standards.

The younger lad who was a show runner for This Morning seems to have been forgotten. That’s apparently why he came out. If that was a female celebrity with a young male there’d be uproar!

Completely fake. It was an open secret in tv wasn’t it so I find it hard to believe he had to go to Cornwall to break it to his mum. He got caught out and did what he needed to save his skin. I do feel sorry for his wife and kids having their private lives dragged through the papers. Whatever arrangement they had he ruined with his behaviour.

I completely agree with kateandme he is insufferably rude and arrogant when interviewing people on This Morning. He is unable to consider a point of view other than his own and comes across as boorish and arrogant.

I can’t stand him. He’s a slimy patronising wanker and all this faux “suddenly realised I was gay and had to come out” is only because he got caught shagging some lad who is young enough to be his son and a runner on the tv.

If this was a heterosexual dude doing this everyone would be revolted by his behaviour. It does t make it less painful for his wife and family just because he is gay. Poor behaviour is poor behaviour regardless of sexuality. It’s not even like you cannot be gay and successful on television- Graham Norton, Paul O Grady, Clare balding, rylan, Evan Davis, Gok wan, Nick grimshaw, Sue Perkins, Alan Carr and multiple others are evidence of that.

I just feel so very very sorry for his wife. Her whole marriage has been publicly shown to be a sham and now he’s twisting the knife.

There were rumours years ago about him being gay and allegedly having a fling when he was in Joseph.

Yeah, someone had some dirt on him probably and he preempted the kiss n tell by coming out live on TV. I hope his wife was already aware and not utterly devastated by the news her husband of many years preferred en.
Of course she didn't find out watching This Morning for goodness sake.

I’d have had more respect for him if he’d admitted he’d had relationships with men and his wife knew for years than do that confession that he’s just told her. I don’t believe she’s only just found out.

He comes across as completely self-obsessed, I'm not a fan of the sort of TV programmes he is on, so I don't know why he's so popular in TV land, he seems horrible to me?

I can’t watch him. He’s arrogant and slimy and has a whole raft of skeletons in that closet (broom cupboard?) of his, not least the runner.
He was pushed to tell his woe-is-me story and as such, only half of the truth came out.

I can't stand the guy, I turn over or turn off whenever he's on. The more people do that, the less he will appear all over the fucking place.
