He's on R4 this morning, Saturday Live, talking about coming out and of course his new book. I think this is tasteless - he talks about the upset and trauma/impact on his family, yet he has the cheek to write a book about it and plug it on national radio! Not that he is short of a bob or two, with his TV shows and We buy any car.com (that offers as little as it can get away with for your car). It seems that little will get in the way of him exploiting any opportunity to gain publicity and make money - that is the view I have of him.

These celebrity biographies are always a pile of shit. How many did Jordan "write"? and Peter Andre? Who could possibly want to read it? The mind boggles. But, like anything such as this, I find it best to ignore. There are attention seeking idiots everywhere, getting irate about them isn't going to make them go away, sadly....

Just watched that Carter USM clip. Well done lads! Fuck me he's always been a nasty sanctimonious prick hasn't he?

I read he had said he would be talking more about his mental health soon and I just thought what a dick. How arrogant to think we want to hear it.

When he came out on This Morning every one sent messages in saying how brave and strong he was and not one was read out mentioning his wife. I sent one in saying while it might be brave what he had done I was thinking of his wife and oh what a shock that it wasn't acknowledged.

Note to Phillip - we, well I, don't care about your angst or your mental health. I care about your wife. And it isn't big or clever or generous to say you'll give her the house and half your money without any fuss and then demand she never talks about you. It is joint money. It is just as much her right to give you half as you her.

I used to really enjoy watching him on the telly, and then after all the backstory and how he carries himself, I just don't enjoy watching him anymore.

Can you link the clip? I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for.

I cannot stand the man.
His behaviour toward Fearne Britton was nothing short of a disgrace. They were supposed to he really close and he didn’t support her with the gender pay gap.
His fake friendship with Holly and their constant giggling meant that I entirely stopped watching the show years ago.
Then, this with his wife! He’s an absolute smug, selfish git and I can’t understand why/how he’s still on the tele. Who is his audience?! I just don’t get it!

Why wouldn't Fearne sympathise with his wife?
The narcissism of him to be put out that she reached out to his wife..

@Rhine

According to Joan Collins everyone in show business has know he’s gay for years. Which makes the sudden coming out to a nationa newspaper very interesting doesn’t it? I wonder why he did that?...

I think the Sun were threatening to out him, so he got himself out first.

I'll bet that he won't be including his relationship with the young Matthew McGreevy in his book.

You know, the young aspiring presenter who Philip started following on Twitter when he was 13 years old. The one who attended the acting school that Phil was a patron of.

The same young man he was filmed cosying up to for dinner and drinks before he came out.

I'm pretty sure I saw an almost audible sigh of relief from him on air discussing Caroline Flack's tragic death, to detract from his seedy behaviour, he was just about to be outed for 'doing' a runner who was underage when they first met.

He makes my skin crawl.

The Beckham's give huge amounts to charity. I know someone who is the director of a charity that is kept afloat by them, they do this quietly.
Have to say I admire them.

People’s sexuality doesn’t bother me but so what if he found out he was gay? Why such a big fuss these days? Is it any difference if he just left his wife and family because he realised he didn’t love his wife any more?
He would have got a completely different reaction if he explained that he was leaving his family because he didn’t find his wife sexually attractive any more or whatever but because he’s gay, he gets all the sympathy and praise.

@Georgeoftheinternet

He was so brave......

Just kidding. He should be kicked of tv for cheating on his wife and being dishonest.

Going by that, exactly how many people do you think would be left in TV? Let's just say, we could happily go back to being 2 channels 🤣
