Any ideas what this could be?

I'm 29, have been on the desogestrel pill for over a year now (no periods at all) and am sexually active with my partner.

Last night, I was really really sick. I vomited everywhere and started to feel quite hot and cold. Woke up at about 5am drenched in sweat. Went back to sleep and woke up again at 9 and I was completely covered in blood.
Thinking it was just a period, I put a tampon in and forgot about it.

I soaked through the tampon (heaviest flow) in 20 minutes.

Went to the toilet to change it and passed two massive (size of a golf ball) clots, then suddenly got extreme pains in my stomach - radiating up my back to my shoulder. I'm honestly in the worst pain ever.

My heart is going really fast, I feel freezing but my body feels hot, I can't stop shaking.
I'm frightened, I don't know what's going on with me.

Tried to go the walk in centre, but you need an appointment and they've got none today.

My dad is here at the minute and he doesn't do fuss (especially when it comes to illness). My partner told my dad to take me to the hospital (as he's working) but my dad isn't having it and I don't feel well enough to drive myself.

Has anyone got any ideas about what this could be and whether I need the hospital or not? I don't know what to do.
Thank you

(I apologise if this doesn't make sense, I'm in a lot of pain.)

You absolutely did the right thing to go to hospital, for that amount of blood loss alone.

I hope you feel better soon.

justilou1 · 10/10/2020 14:58

Don’t minimize this when you are at hospital. If you still have the clots, take them with you. (Or photos)

IHateCoronavirus · 10/10/2020 15:01

Thank goodness you have gone to A and E good luck op Flowers

Tampon out (wear a pad) unlock your front door

Thanks
CheeryAlmond · 10/10/2020 15:05

I'm feeling very faint, no ambulance yet but they did say they are very busy.

I've unlocked the door in case I collapse and my neighbour has taken my DD. I've put a pad on too.

It feels like all the energy has been zapped from me, on top of wave like stomach cramps. My heart rate is 121bpm. I'm terrified.

Was going to say call an ambulance but you have. Hope they get you sorted, sounds horrible for you Thanks

Sexnotgender · 10/10/2020 15:09

Hope the ambulance gets to you soon. You’ve absolutely done the right thing calling one. I can’t believe your dad left you, that’s terrible.

steppemum · 10/10/2020 15:10

glad you have called an ambulance.

  1. too much blood loss
  2. shoulder pain,

both symptons of mc or ectopic pregnancy.

Hope you are OK OP

villamariavintrapp · 10/10/2020 15:13

Glad you've called an ambulance and hope you're ok. Your dad's behaviour is completely unacceptable.

OhTheRoses · 10/10/2020 15:21

If the ambulance isn't with you yet are you able to call them again and get them to escalate. I'm not an expert but you sound very very unwell.

ApolloandDaphne · 10/10/2020 15:25

Hang on in there OP. Hopefully the ambulance will arrive soon. Shame on your DF for not talking you to the hospital.

G5000 · 10/10/2020 15:30

WTF is your dad thinking! OF COURSE you must go to the hospital and ASAP.
Get your DP to take you to hospital if the ambulance can't get there any time soon. You are bleeding heavily and have a fever, his job can wait, this could be an emergency.

Floralnomad · 10/10/2020 15:34

Can your neighbour not run you up the hospital , pad up and sit on a bin bag .

CheeryAlmond · 10/10/2020 16:12

Ambulance still not here so neighbour is taking me.

My dad is actually angry at me for going. As I say, he's very much a 'get on with it' type person.
Thinks I'm being OTT.
He's just not great with illness in general.

The pain and my heart rate is what's really frightening me now. I can feel it climbing. I'd happily accept death to stop the pain.

PatMustardsBigTool · 10/10/2020 16:13

Hope you are ok and seen to ASAP at the hospital, OP.
I am shocked at your dad just going out - thankfully your neighbour could look after your daughter. I'd be telling dad to leave if he's just visiting!

PatMustardsBigTool · 10/10/2020 16:14

Crossed-post. Your neighbour is very kind. Still horrified at your dad! Hope all goes well.

SirVixofVixHall · 10/10/2020 16:16

Oh Lord Op ! I am so glad that you are going to hospital, how on earth is an ambulance taking so long ? This is a real emergency. I hope you get seen asap.

Floralnomad · 10/10/2020 16:20

Hope you feel better soon OP and your dad needs a good talking to - idiot man .

CheeryAlmond · 10/10/2020 16:43

Finally here, was rushed straight through.

Heart rate is 145bpm. TMI but blood dropping down my legs.
I feel a hair away from death

OP posts:
MrsWhites · 10/10/2020 16:53

You definitely did the right thing OP. I can’t believe your dad and partner left you alone with a child! Thank goodness for your neighbour!

picklemewalnuts · 10/10/2020 16:55

Oh dear! Hope you are ok! Would your dad have been better if it hadn't been a 'women's problem'? It's useless and he needs a proper telling off for endangering your life.

1moreRep · 10/10/2020 17:20

Sounds terrifying op, you are in the best place now, hopefully you will get seen quickly

Kiki275 · 10/10/2020 17:24

Hope you're ok OP? I'm horrified at your dad, that's appalling behaviour. Your neighbour sounds wonderful though x

greylea · 10/10/2020 17:31

Christ - I hope you're ok and I'm sorry you don't have much support around you!

bearlyactive · 10/10/2020 17:37

I hope the pain eases soon OP, what you are going through sounds horrific.
