Bagadverts · 24/09/2020 14:25

Sausage roll

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 24/09/2020 14:26

Steak bake and a triple chocolate doughnut. I used to like the chargrill chicken sandwich but then they made it "healthy" and it became shit.

TheVanguardSix · 24/09/2020 14:27

Sausage rolls
Yum yums
donuts

Gingerkittykat · 24/09/2020 14:28

Iceland has a range of Greggs goodies, I'm now very tempted to go and buy some frozen sausage rolls and try the sausage and bean bakes people are talking about here.

thismeansnothing · 24/09/2020 14:33

Chargrill chicken oval or a tuna crunch on white. If it's December a festive bake. But I very rarely go tbh.

bendmeoverbackwards · 24/09/2020 14:35

I keep meaning to try a vegan sausage roll. Are they nicer than normal sausage rolls?

Chickenwing · 24/09/2020 14:37

Before i was vegy I loved the sausage beans and cheese melt! Or a tuna/chicken mayo softy.

Now i get the veggie sausage roll which is just OK (too much dry pastry)

The yum yums are also amazing.

Frownette · 24/09/2020 14:38

@LtJudyHopps

loutypips they’ve stopped vegetable bakes again?! I got one a few weeks ago!
Oh did you? I loved those but thought they had stopped, at least they have in nearest one to me.

So vegan sausage roll although I wouldn't go out of my way to get one.

workhomesleeprepeat · 24/09/2020 14:42

Ooh I like the vegan sausage roll, pork sausage roll, tuna crunch stuff, yum yums are great too. Their tea is nicer than other takeaway/sandwich places too!

TildaKauskumholm · 24/09/2020 14:43

Occasionally have a sandwich if out and away from home. Don't fancy the pasties etc as I'd like to know the ingredients before eating. Never fancied the cakes, always look too artificial and brightly coloured.

I actually like them a bit better than the pork ones (though I do really like the pork ones) because they are less greasy. The filling is delish

@BobbinThreadbare123

I like a steak bake and a caramel doughnut Grin Not sure there's any point in commenting if you don't even like/go to Greggs tbf. Anyway, Merseysiders will tell you that Sayers was better!!
I occasionally get a cheese and onion pasty from Greggs, because I don't like near a Sayers anymore. And then I regret it because Sayers cheese and onion pasties are the best.
Spied · 24/09/2020 14:51

Tuna crunch baguette and mini doughnuts.
DC love the (savoury) mince pies.
Dp loves the corned beef pasty.

Coquohvan · 24/09/2020 14:55

After a gym session in the morning, I do fasting cardio some days, I get their porridge as it’s a few units down from my gym. Delish

LunchBoxPolice · 24/09/2020 14:57

Mexican chicken baguette. Latte. Apple turnover.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 24/09/2020 15:18

@Neptunesgiraffe I don't live near one anymore either Sad

I live in a place with a lot of wanky artisan bakeries but sometimes only a cheapo sausage roll hits the spot.

ilovebedtimestories · 24/09/2020 15:18

Always a sausage roll.

Danni91 · 24/09/2020 15:29
@Danni91
We have 3 greggs in our town centre alone, probably 6 in the entire town.

This actually makes wonder how Gregg’s is doing compared to Pret considering reduced footfall and lack of workers. Anyone know? Is Gregg’s having to lay off massive amounts of staff or close lots of stores too?
True that actually because just a few weeks ago 3 seperate greggs have popped up on just eat for delivery.
Really cheap delivery as well, cost is £1.50 and no minimum spend! So yeah i assume there must be too much stock and lack of customers going in. Probably will create shut downs.

Our local pret is also on justeat as well. Ive never tried one!

frustrationcentral · 24/09/2020 15:41

Vegan sausage roll and a duffnut for me

Ham and cheese baguette for DH and DS1

Chicken and bacon club baguette for DS2

DH prefers the sausage rolls and chicken baked from Iceland!
Stillafatknacker · 24/09/2020 15:47

Tuna Crunch baguette and a sausage roll Grin

MsEllany · 24/09/2020 15:51

I’m partial to a steak bake myself. Then a yum yum. Sausage rolls only if molten and straight out the oven!

beakyboo10 · 24/09/2020 16:11

Pizza slice
Sausage Roll
Spikey Mikey
Latte

Sit on the park bench with my 2 year old son and get eyed up by the hopeful pigeons, it has now become our Monday morning thing after we stopped shopping at Birds bakery (East Midlands bakery) over their treatment of staff. I am sure we will return to Birds at some point but I have a 15 year love of Spikey Mikeys.

snaxinyourslacks · 24/09/2020 16:23

What's a spikey mikey?
