Take your Vitamin D

It's officially autumn and noticeably darker, with the dew falling with a sickening thud.
One of the key factors in mortality/morbidity with COVID19 is vitamin D deficiency.

Source:

There is considerable information on the NHS website as well as NIH (US).

I have started my 3000 iu megadose 2 weeks ago and I have a bit more energy and my moods are more stable - think I was vit D deficient most of August. At the latitude of the British Isles you only make Vitamin D from April to early September.

So take your Vitamin D.

Specifically K2. You can read the reason why online. Related to how calcium is used.

My gosh I am so confused by all this. So I need to take vitamin D but also K2, but the vitamin D needs to be the right dose and I must eat it with some fat. It can be a spray or a tablet and you have to take it daily, or every other if the dose is high.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to buy! Surely if they were meant to be taken together they would sell a combined tablet with an average dose and it would be all figured out for you?

My multivitamin contains 75ug of vitamin K, looking through the ingredients I think it is only vitamin K1? So should I top that up with some vitamin K tablets too?

I'll be taking 35ug of vitamin D3.

I recently bought vitamin D3 from H&B in 10ug after researching dosage etc. On the bottle it says just to take it with a meal. Didn't realise about vit k. We eat a lot of veg but it's so confusing!
