Which items do you always buy branded?

I buy lots of supermarket own brand things and will always give a supermarket brand a go, but some things just don't measure up for me!

Some of the things I always buy the big brand are Birdseye peas and McVities rich tea biscuits.

What are yours?

Actually, reading through the thread I don't buy pretty much anything that isn't branded at all. Probably why I'm always skint.

Helmanns mayonnaise
Heinz beans
Cheddar cheese is cathedral city or pilgrims, can’t get on board with supermarket stuff
Ribena
Jams and marmalade need to be branded though I’m not fussy which.

Am I the only one that is going to say yoghurt? I buy Yeo valley natural yoghurt in the green tub and have never found an unbranded version to match it

Even though overseas, I will only buy familiar, tried & trusted brands like Colman's mustard, Heinz baked beans, Tetley, Marmite, Branston pickle... nothing compares to the originalSmile

Even when we were skint we never compromised on food, five years ago I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer, not a single morsel goes down without a huge slug of water.

So pleased that I have fabulous food memories, glad I didn't wait until we were finally fluid to upscale, it would have been too late.

Heinz Tomato Soup
