Just filled with horror at the mess that's going on at the moment. It's like we've learned nothing. I feel so angry. And had an enraging experience today meeting a colleague for coffee. Walked into a coffee shop and asked if we could have one of the empty tables (emptiness would become clear imminently? Man behind counter yelled - where's your mask. We both looked puzzled - we were in a retaurant. Yelled again - so you have a mask!? To which we said yes? He then instructed us to put our masks on whilst we walked into the cafe. Then we could remove when seated. As we moved to go past him he yelled hold on a Minute and proceeded to list all his rules. Christ. I'm so annoyed we didn't just leave. Angry

Re: swearing 🤬 mine has increased recently. I reckon it’s because we are simply so frustrated at the stupidity we see and hear, there is no other appropriate response other than to swear because intelligent argument/reasonIng just won’t get through.

I am going to have to be very careful if when we are allowed to stop wearing masks. I keep sticking my tongue out at people who are being arsey - behind a mask it is not a problem.

Although, being fair, most people I meet I am nice to and they are nice to me too.

Told DH the local school that had a sixth former test positive thus the whole year being sent home meant that our DS was short of two teenage waiters at the weekend for his business. DH dementor then piped up that it meant we could no longer see our DS and his family. How his brains did not end up spattered up the walls I will never know.

As for swearing DH been telling me off for swearing I am swearing more. Then said that when he cycled around to a friends to sit in their garden and chew the cud how shocked he was that the wife (a dear friend) was swearing he had never heard her swear before.

The pious dementor shit even extends to language used these days he is such a pompous ass.

Latest dementor news here, someone has questioned whether the knitted angels the local churches distribute for people to find at Christmas are Covid compliant as we have all been touching them.

If they manage to get this banned, I shall find out where they live and stuff mine through their letter box after licking them 😡

Wtf does that git think he is stopping people touching things? That's not what a marshals job is anywhere! If people can't read the ingredients or instructions then they won't buy much. I would have told him to fuck off and I am not confrontational in the slightest but that would be the final straw for me.
Hope he can get his head back out of his arse when this is all over!

Can I join too? I'm sure 33 counts as middle aged - I feel positively ancient anyway!

Spoke to my GP yesterday. Change in medication. I cried. She politely believed me when I said I wasn't drinking 'that' much.

I think I admitted to about half my actual intake. Presumably they are used to this.

Then I got drunk again, and went to bed. Awake again at 3.45am. Today is going to be SO MUCH FUN.

This has really made me laugh. You know when they do the back-story on OITNB to discover how you ended up in an orange jumpsuit? I never envisaged a scenario where a middle-aged woman leaves the house at dawn (too tired to move after 10pm) and pushes licked knitted Christmas decorations through letterboxes! 😂

Good to see you check in Jourdain. I had noticed you on a couple of other threads. I hope the return to school has helped with family life Flowers

I was shattered last night and crashed out at 9pm. Woke up at 3 and went downstairs for some bedtime yoga rather than trying to force myself and got another 3 hours again. I think it's a combination of post-race physical tiredness and adjusting back to some semblence of normal routines. Swimming night always was draining anyway but it's shunting back and forth even more. DS1 had a meltdown and ended up leaving in only his towel. So kind of him to develop a snotty, echoing hacking cough to echo around the changing room. It was purely the state he'd worked himself into. Then the nerves about being challenged on a mask in a hot, humid, noise sensitive place which is top of the list of environments to trigger me.

The best thing about swimming on a Monday is that it's done for the week. At least these last few weeks it's been nice for sitting out in between too.

I have just had a conversation with DD 28 ( she has been showing Dementor tendencies) who thinks they are right and the angels should be quarantined for 72 hours, I can’t even bring myself to ask how she thinks they can be distributed after that without murdering grannies ☹️
