OK being serious now if you have young children who make a santa list well get them to make it now. DIL has a friend high up in the toy world purchasing wise says buy now, put away or you may not get it. The slow boat from china container wise has ground to a halt so when it is gone it may be gone. So many ports around the world are refusing entry coz of covid. I am only telling you guys coz I know the media either are not reporting this or do not know.

Got some sweets for Halloween and even a xmas present for ds2 and 2 bags of Xmas choc popping candy pudding sweets. The one thing I wanted was bloody loo roll in HB but it was all gone! Are we panic buying again? Even in B&M the stocks were really low on loo rolls. Need to check after work on Sunday their loo rolls are way better than any other cheap ones. (Fussy? Who me?)
Cafe not much different had to use the online code or write your name and phone number on a bit of paper. Otherwise no other madness. Had a good read and relax before hitting the shops.
Got tons of shopping as added extra stuff like lightbulbs, cleaning products, washing tablets etc that always seem to run out all at once so need to sort out my cupboards and defrost fecking fridge freezer thats not working properly freezer is white with thick frost😠
Sat at beach to have a sarnie but despite the sunshine the wind was bloody cold so didn't stay long. Lots of families out and about though, kids never feel cold!

Decathlon still looked depleted when I was in there a few days ago. Probably just as well because it's a dangerous shop to let me loose in even if I don't have a lengthy shopping list for the family!

No idea what the DCs will want for Christmas. Back in March, DS2 only said "Pokemon Cards". DS1 has a festive birthday to add to the pressure. They play a lot, but don't really need new stuff. I could do with clearing out the old stuff that they ignored for 5.5 months too, but they're hoarders...

Oh God, lactulose reminds me of the aftermath of DS2's birth... I didn't use toilet roll for a month after that!

@ISaySteadyOn , I am also a bit with some teachers on here and elsewhere. I try to be quite liberal and remember that everyone has experienced and continues to experience different things but I am amazed at some attitudes.

Had a lovely walk in the Peak district today and Bakewell was flocked to sadly-death with tourists. Lovely to see it vibrant and busy.

I have a job interview Tuesday. It’s not the job of my dreams. It’s a Christmas contract and would ease my financial pain from lockdown.

Currently biding time before the return to Karate.

This week has been discombobulating. Cases are low locally. Picking up about half of our normal activities. There is a reasonable veneer of normality chez Bogroll.

Most relations are in local lockdown and social media is getting twitchy and it's hard to rationalise that we're not supposed to go for a walk with another family and that people are baying for more lockdown.

Some nearby areas are seeing increasing numbers around the small towns. But the city was hit early and has had a steady trickle since.

Nope. Scotland has 48 people in hosp IN TOTAL with covid yet nippy is going to hit us with a lockdown over school hols it's almost guarenteed now.
I am amazed that wee covid will give up in that time and fly off to the moon never to be seen again...Well that's the plan isn't It? makes as much sense as anything the gov has spouted so far

I was putting stuff in drawers i have in the hole in between cupboards in kitchen and stood up too close to counter and whacked my head a good un. Had a bit of a cry and realised i wanted a full on greet out of sheer frustration but ds2 came down at precisely that minute and gave me a cuddle so i didn't want to let rip and upset him. Just absolutely fed up and the idea that the gov are already planning for a lockdown or tightening of restrictions in school hols is pissing me off as wanted to do something then. Even a week away to a cheap caravan anywhere but here would have been bliss. Now there is no point I can't afford to lose money for No good reason.

I am meant to be going away next week in England. Wish they would say what they are planning so I can decide whether to cancel and stay at home even though I am desperate for a break away.

DS GP surgery the health board just announced one member of staff tested positive so some of them sent home to isolate for 14 days, surgery will be very short staffed until 28th September.

We still gave rainbow puctures up at work i wanna scrunch them all up! They have been there months it's time they went.
Noticed a sign in B&M they are still doing NHS will get priority am and pm and our place still doing discounts and special offers/gifts for NHS ffs!

We can't order a papa johns as they are short staffed due to covid.
