Just got called a cunt by a 10 year old. How's your Friday?

Group of 10-12 year olds in the play park singing along to Cardi B "bring a mop and a bucket for my wet ass pussy" on repeat, throwing rubbish everywhere and kicking balls towards my toddlers head. I told them this isn't the place and to go play elsewhere if they're going to kick balls around. They all laughed and turned the music up and continued kicking ball around and singing about pussies, before asking me what I was looking at and to fuck off. I said I'm looking at a bunch of children who despite trying to act cool and grown up, still hang out in a play park, which says it all really. The youngest of the group called me an 'old cunt'. I'm 25 Grin

How's your Friday going?

Well done for saying something. I once got called a fucking ugly cunt by a ten year old girl when I asked her not to pour her coke down the slide my child was playing on.

popcornlover · 28/08/2020 15:04

That’s really disturbing. What type of kids listen to music like that? !!

JMAngel1 · 28/08/2020 15:06

Jesus, 10-12? That's disgraceful for 20 year olds never mind that age.

sarahC40 · 28/08/2020 15:07

If you’re in Cambridge, I know exactly the kids you’re talking about and I had the same abuse. If you’re not, then I’m thinking that there’s a particularly bold element emerging in some 10-11 year olds and I’m a secondary school teacher, so not a shrinking violet and pearl clutcher.

It is horrible behaviour, well done for calling it out though.

I got called a cunt by an 12yo just Y8 the other year because he'd repeatedly intimidated my dc (8>3 at the time) on our way home from school/ nursery for around 3 weeks (think nasty looks, 'bumping' in to them/us when we went in to single file, hissing things at them, making gestures). I called him out on it the one day & got that back. He didn't realise I new his Mum as his younger sibling was in class with one of my dc. I sent her a message & explained what had been happening. She brought him up to the house within & hour & made him apologise to all of us.

converseandjeans · 28/08/2020 15:15

That's horrible. The song is awful isn't it? Just encouraging bad language.

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/08/2020 15:19

Out walking my dog a few weeks ago and two boys, aged about 12, were riding towards me on bikes shouting random swear words. One called me a cunt for no reason whatsoever and deliberately breathed on me. I think some kids (a very small minority no doubt) have gone feral over the past few months. I pity their teachers next week.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 28/08/2020 15:21

I'd be ashamed if my dc spoke to anyone like than. HorribleSad

Carpathian2 · 28/08/2020 15:21

I haven't been directly called a cunt, but a house I visited ( for work) recently had a 5 year old with his own phone. He picked it up and said "what cunt is texting me now?"

I nearly fell off the chair with shock, but the parents thought it was funny.

I despair 😩

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 28/08/2020 15:24

I'm ambivalent about the music - it's not their faults that filth is out there in the world and I can see the attraction of the shock value. The just before high school age is a really bad one for cocky shit like this, they're probably bricking it about starting school. I really hope a year 12 puts their heads down the loo next week OP.

How incredibly sad. What chance have these kids got?
GisAFag · 28/08/2020 15:27

Should have said you came out your mother's cunt now fucking do one arse hole.

Took · 28/08/2020 15:27

I had a 4 year old wave a small branch that had about 100 nails stuck in it say, "I'm gonna bash your face." He was surprisingly aggressive for such a small lad. The whole puffed out chest, trying to do a scary voice thing.

I wish I'd put the fear of god in him and marched him home but any 4 year old left to roam the streets (he does, often) doesn’t have parents that give a fuck.

Quietlyloud · 28/08/2020 15:29

I’ve been called that by a four year old, regularly. It’s disgusting. Her mother is useless though so I guess that’s that then lol.

Quietlyloud · 28/08/2020 15:31

Took oh my goodness, I’ve had the same from a four year old. Just a standard thin branch though, nothing spiked on it. They ended up wacking me with it, I grabbed one end and refused to let go, then when she did I threw it out. She’s a rude little one.

Bananaman123 · 28/08/2020 15:43

Should have said 'i might be an old cunt but your one fucking ugly cunt'

FippertyGibbett · 28/08/2020 15:50

Gosh, what delightful children. Their parents must be very proud.
Can you imagine what a handful they will be in 4-6 years time 🤣

roastedsaltedpeanut · 28/08/2020 15:51

Wow just wow. I agree that filth is always out there in the work and it is the parents’ job to guide children into this world by explaining what is considered inappropriate, and what are the consequences of behaving inappropriately.

The four year old example is shocking. Some people have normalised entrees vocabulary like “cunt” or “bashing your face” etc which I find shocking. This reminds of the phenomenon I witnessed recently that teenage girls and young women referring to best friends as bitches (why just whyyyy), will young people be calling each other cunts in the future??

EllisRoses · 28/08/2020 15:53

The song is quite high up the charts I think, which makes me despair in itself but that's a separate situation. You're free to have shit music taste, but maybe not playing extremely x-rated music in a play park aimed towards toddlers and young kids.

I stood my ground and they did leave, asked them to bring their rubbish with them too and they scooped some of it up only to dump it on a buggy someone had parked up by the gates, presumably they were thinking it was mine.

My niece and nephew are 9 and 10 and they wouldn't even know words like that, and would never dare talk to an adult like that, or anyone for that matter. Blows my mind! Would break my heart for my son to ever act like that.

YouJustDoYou · 28/08/2020 15:54

We were getting that once by a bunch of delightful 11-ish year old. Luckily, they hadn't seen the 6'5 dad approaching from behind with his little.girl. It sadly took a tall, slightly scary man to get the little shits to stop swearing in front of young children. Women just aren't scary enough to make them behave, I guess.

wewillmeetagain · 28/08/2020 15:57

Omg @GisAFag that made me laugh, spat my drink everywhere the lot

BearSoFair · 28/08/2020 15:57

I had similar last year OP, called a cunt by a child in the shop I worked in because I didn't have any vouchers to give him Shock I didn't know how to react! If he'd been an adult I would have called security to kick him out but it didn't feel right doing that with an 8 year old...in hindsight I wish I had, maybe it would have taught him something!

keepingbees · 28/08/2020 15:58

I saw people complaining on a local Facebook group that 10-11 year olds in a park were threatening people with knives.
Sometimes I'm glad my teenager is a hermit, we live in sad times.

mummabear1967 · 28/08/2020 15:59

That’s awful, OP. Disgraceful behaviour on their part.

I wonder do their parents know what their little darlings get up to at the park?
