Saw a diagram today of reactions to the pandemic. It described the different stages we're supposed to go through, like shock, grief etc. At the end it said "The New Normal" & there was a smiley face.
They can bog off with that!

Yes i saw something like that too, felt the same! So fed up of being told how we should be feeling...

ISaySteadyOn · 01/09/2020 18:02

Hang on, you could see the smile? Why wasn't it masked? Wink

ISaySteadyOn · 01/09/2020 18:13

Sorry everyone. I think my mind might be gone and I might have gone mad.

justasking111 · 01/09/2020 18:29

@Willow2017

ffs. when this happened in Leicester and surrounding suburbs the locals could quote by road and postcode exactly where the problem areas were, and they were not in that area.
Taswama · 01/09/2020 18:35

I'm lucky enough to have school age kids (back on Thursday and Friday). And I can go into work for a day or two a week. But I still miss the social contact and the exercise I used to get and am trying to work out a new routine that will give me a balance of exercise, work, social contact.

justasking111 · 01/09/2020 18:36

I wondered when supermarkets would be in the firing line. Ours have removed all sanitiser stations, one way systems etc. Looks like there is a growing discontent with large stores.

My silk mask have arrived, hope they help with the spots. I am getting spots on my neck!!
In Glasgow is there a lot of new cases? I heard on Radio 4 that Manchester council want to extend restrictions, why?
It seems hardly any deaths re cases and it’s been weeks now. I am so depressed.

WouldBeGood · 01/09/2020 18:44

@Willow2017 exactly my sentiments- this pish needs to stop!!!!

WouldBeGood · 01/09/2020 18:45

66 today in Glasgow I believe. There are 600,000 people living in the city.

So Glaswegians will not be able to meet up in their houses & gardens but can do so down the pub? Is it that nonsense again?

Liking the picture, it's better than the one on the diagram. Can't post diagram as that might cause trouble. It was a wavy line with various faces along the "pandemic journey to acceptance". Like a multi-headed sperm.

Clearly I am still in the "WTAF" stage of enlightenment, depicted by an eye-rolling, unmasked emoticon. I will probably be sent a link to some mindfulness apps & told to have a nice bath with candles (has no one ever risk assessed that the candles might set fire to the shower curtain?) or "do something you enjoy." I enjoy hugging people & going on holiday.

ISaySteadyOn · 01/09/2020 18:52

I enjoy going to the library and breathing. Smile.

ISaySteadyOn · 01/09/2020 18:53

And eating homegrown cucumbers. Ate our second today. It was so good!

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:02

Our West Country schools trust is not saying masks for all in the secondaries but they can if it helps them feel less anxious about returning.

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:04

I have a friend in Glasgow her children have just gone back to school.

DominaShantotto · 01/09/2020 19:07

I don’t know why but it feels worse and worse every time they put in more restrictions - and the fucking face mask fan club seem worse than the lockdown curtain twitchers

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:09

This looks worrying too

They are. Totally agree.
Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:13

Nicola says

"No more than eight people from three households should meet indoors and that applies to pubs and restaurants as well."

Sounds like a party to me Hmm

She already knows Scotland has a drink problem...

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:14

(some I mean, don't mean offence to Scots)

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:14

Talking about the new lockdown in Glasgow

Pixel7777 · 01/09/2020 19:16

Domina there have been threads about Christmas face masks. Ho ho Ho! (not) all excited over different patterns etc

TheOrchidKiller · 01/09/2020 19:18

You rebel! Because eating a cucumber can't be done in a mask. Although you can probably post it in sideways.
